So, this happened Sunday night on the BET Soul Train Awards.
JAMIE FOXX: First of all, give an honor to God and our lord and savior Barack Obama. Barack Obama.
Whatever Obama might be saving, it’s not jobs. Black unemployment has hit 14.3% under savior Obama, with unemployment among black teens hitting 40.5 percent.
Disgusting. Jamie Foxx has shown himself to be a second rate intellect.
A limit has been passed.
Hubris.

Obama really puts the “mess” in “messiah.” In fact, if you break it down:
“Mess”: Obama’s policies
“I”: It’s always all about him, all the time.
“Ah”: Obama’s tongue-tied speaking style, when he’s off Teleprompter.
One more actor I won’t be supporting anymore. Too bad, he was a good actor. I know I’ve lost clients because of my beliefs…some of those tolerant types who believe in diversity. (/sarc) But for a party that generally believes in “separation of church and state” which really means religious people should STHU, this smacks of blatant hypocrisy, except when you consider that what they really want is to destroy faith and replace it with “In Government We Trust”. Curious parallel that Hitler replaced the oath of allegiance to the Fatherland with an oath of allegiance and himself.
Ignorant community, sometimes.
Inarticulate comments like this reflect poorly on the author, indicating what psychologists label as “projection”. If you have nothing to say, why don’t you go outside and do something useful?

The believers are unabashed in the second term. The False Messiah reigns over his crumbling country. You got to tear it down to fundamentally rebuild it. Don’t let a (self made)crisis go to waste. “pull the strings! pull the strings!
I understand the symbolic importance to black people of Obama’s election. A member of a formerly disenfranchised and powerless group has finally accessed the highest position of leadership in America. But in practical terms, he’s just another president. Take away the skin color and what has he actually done to “save” black people in America? They’ve turned a corner. They feel better about themselves. Lots of warm feelings. Great. Now what? Symbolism doesn’t produce better schools, more jobs, less crime. It’s race as usual in America, business as usual in Washington DC. Bigger than one man. People who believe in Messiahs are kidding themselves.

Sons of Kenyan exchange students in American universities?
Sons of Honkie Kansans Socialists?

Or would it be those well-known reviled pariahs, Columbia undergrads who went on to Harvard Law School and edited the Law Review?
