Left-Leaning PPP Shock Poll Puts Romney in the Lead

The latest Daily Kos/PPP/SEIU poll cannot come as welcome news to the Obama camp. On the day of the second debate, with expectations soaring for the president, a new poll finds Mitt Romney clobbering President Obama in the red states and leading strongly in the swing states.

The candidates for President are Democrat Barack Obama and Republican Mitt Romney. If the election was today, who would you vote for?

The poll’s margin of error is 2.5%

Swing state Obama 47, Romney 50
Blue state Obama 52, Romney 45
Red State Obama 40, Romney 56
