In his first public remarks after last night’s debate, President Obama told a crowd at a Denver campaign rally that he “met this very spirited fellow who claimed to be Mitt Romney.”
“But it couldn’t have been Mitt Romney because the real Mitt Romney has been running around the country for the last year promising $5 trillion in tax cuts that favor the wealthy. The fellow on stage last night said, he didn’t know anything about that,” Obama said.
“The real Mitt Romney said we don’t need anymore teachers in our classrooms, but…. Don’t boo, vote,” he chided the crowd.
“The guy on stage last night, he said that he doesn’t even know that there are such laws that encourage outsourcing. He’s never heard of ‘em. Never heard of tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas. He said that if it’s true he must need a new accountant,” Obama continued. “Now, we know for sure it was not the real Mitt Romney because he seems to be doing just fine with his current accountant.”
The president continued with a series of zingers and stabs at Romney’s policy that he didn’t attempt last night.
“What I talked about last night was a new economic patriotism. Patriotism is rooted in the belief that growing our economy begins with a strong thriving middle class,” Obama said, though he didn’t mention his new catchphrase for the fairness doctrine during the debate.
“Now, last night Governor Romney ruled out raising a dime of taxes on anybody ever, no matter how much money they make. He ruled out closing the loophole that gives oil companies $4 billion in corporate welfare. He refused to even acknowledge the loophole that gives tax breaks to corporations that shift jobs overseas. And when he was asked what he’d actually do to cut the deficit and reduce spending, he said he’d eliminate funding for public television. That was his answer. I mean, thank goodness somebody is finally getting tough on Big Bird.”
“It’s about time. We didn’t know that Big Bird was driving the federal deficit, but that’s what we heard last night. How about that?” Obama said, as an audience member shouted “Elmo.”
“Elmo too?” the president said.
UPDATE: Romney campaign response from spokesman Ryan Williams: “In full damage-control mode, President Obama today offered no defense of his record and no vision for the future. Rather than a plan to fix our economy, President Obama simply offered more false attacks and renewed his call for job-killing tax hikes. Last night, Mitt Romney demonstrated why he should be President, laying out the clear choice in this election. We can’t afford four more years of the last four years. We need a real recovery – and Mitt Romney has a real plan to deliver it.”

I have been wondering for a long time and if someone can help me out that would be great. When Obama talks about these tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas, is he referring to the Foreign Tax Credit by which companies can deduct the taxes they pay to foreign governments? Is there something else that I am not aware of to which the lying malcontent living in the white house is referring?
Mike, re: the tax breaks Obama keeps blathering about, use Obama Rule No. 1. That rule states that any law or regulation referred to by Obama or his Permanent Campaign is either obsolete, non-existent, or means the opposite of what Obama says it does.
For all the non-believers, let me shed some light on U.S. multinational corporations. For U.S. companies with foreign subsidiaries, foreign earnings are taxed at a 35% rate if they are brought back to the U.S., but are completely not taxed at all by the U.S. as long as these foreign earnings are kept abroad thus accounting for the reasons why most of the largest U.S. multinational corporations would keep these foreign earnings offshore. This is what is called a tax shelter or offshore accounts.
Please do your own research and Google – Are foreign profits subject to U.S. taxes.
Have any of you folks actually ever worked as an executive at a multi-national company? I have. Let me tell you how this works:
1. First of all, U.S. companies get an R&D tax credit for developing new technology….. AS LONG AS THAT WORK WAS DONE IN THE U.S.! Trust me, I’ve been through this process many times. I did have some employees that worked overseas but I could not deduct any of their time for the R&D tax credit.
2. Yes, multi-nationals do set up subsidiaries overseas for tax protection. However, do you know how that typically works? Not in all cases, but certainly in the company I worked for. We sold our products world wide. Were were taxed by U.S. laws on all transactions with U.S. companies. When our products, which were largely developed by people living and working in the U.S., were sold overseas, those transactions happened between our foreign subsidiaries and the foreign companies, completely outside of U.S. jurisdiction. In MOST countries, all we had were sales people who spoke the local language and understood the local business customs. The foreign subsidiaries did not (OK, this wasn’t 100% true because we bought some overseas companies that did do R&D and production work) in general take any jobs away from the U.S. Our primary products were developed largely in the U.S. with good ol’ ‘mericans. I’m not a finance guy, but the way it was explained to the executive team when this was set up was that this allowed us to more efficiently bring the money back into the U.S. where we could (gasp) use it to hire more U.S. people than if we gave a larger percentage of that money to the government to piss away. We weren’t a huge company (99.9% of the people reading this have never heard of us) but we were making a substantial impact on many Americans’ lives by providing them high quality, good paying jobs with very good job security in tough economic times.
So I am like Romney. I’ve been doing this for a couple of decades in my chosen industry and I don’t know what the hell Obama and the liberals are talking about. You do not get a tax break sending jobs overseas. Period. It’s as simple as that. Furthermore, in many cases, it’s simply not good business. So I am not sure what the hell “loophole” you are trying to close. And if you are talking about multi-national corporations owning subsidiaries, you just ain’t gonna be able to stop that. And you don’t want to!! Geeze, take some business and economics courses and stop using “Google” to answer complex questions that you don’t even understand.
Nerdybaldguy, you don’t seem to get it, from what you’ve said, you only seem to have some representatives employed overseas as sales but you don’t have physical branches overseas. I am talking about U.S. multinational corporations with foreign subsidiaries meaning physical branches overseas making obscene amounts of profits. The current tally is over $1.5 trillion in foreign profits and they are keeping them in offshore accounts to avoid the 35% U.S. corporate taxes indefinitely. As long as they never bring these profits back to U.S., they are not subject to the 35% U.S. corporate tax and the U.S. tax code has no authority to do anything about it. This is currently the biggest loophole in our tax code.
As for you, Nerdybaldguy, not once did you mentioned that you have an offshore account. So if you are like Romney, do you have accounts offshore in Switzerland or the Cayman Islands? If you do, then you are like Romney and avoiding 35% U.S. corporate taxes by keeping foreign profits in offshore accounts. From your post, there is no evidence at all that you ARE like Romney so run along now.
And here is the real zinger for everyone – U.S. multinational corporations with foreign subsidiaries are holding abroad a total of over $1.5 trillion in foreign profits are are totally non-taxable by the U.S. That’s offshore accounts I’m talking about, folks.
Ain’t that grand while the average American is paying regular taxes, hand over fist?
So here is the math, folks. If these $1.5 trillion in foreign profits were brought back to the U.S. and paid their fair share of tax @ 35% rate, that would be $525 billion in tax that is rightly due to the U.S. federal government. Wouldn’t that be called “patriotism” in the worst economic time since the Great Depression of 1929? I would actually call this “economic patriotism”.
Boy, wasn’t America patriotic after 9/11 when we all stood together side by side and promised to look after this country, our mothership? I guess it’s ok to call it the Titanic now, right?
please stop trolling yourself
the desperation is unbecoming
So, Rob, if you think money that is produced overseas and never touches American shores is somehow ours for the taking, why doesn’t Obama just tax foreigners working overseas?
Tax everyone! Why should someone get away with not their paying their fair share of taxes to Obama just because they happen to be Belgian or Brazilian?
That’s not American money you are talking about. An American corporation *might* be an owner of the company, but until the American corporation takes a profit, the money is the foreign country, and is completely foreign. The moment a profit is taken, yes, it is taxed.
Swami,
First, the $1.5 trillion is total profit that I was referring to being kept abroad by these U.S. multinational corporations to avoid paying taxes, if you were to read carefully what I stated. Second, the difference between these companies and foreigners working overseas is that these companies are owned by U.S. citizens living in U.S. soil. Foreigners working overseas have nothing to do with the U.S. unless they work in the U.S. and live on U.S. soil. I’m sad to say that your point or spin that you are trying to make is of absolutely no sense at all.
The sad thing about this country is that when facts are brought to people and it does not fit their ideology, they will resist at all cost and find ridiculous ways to spin it to fulfill self gratification.
Let’s read carefully what Rob said, shall we?
“First, the $1.5 trillion”
Source?
“is total profit that I was referring to being kept abroad by these U.S. multinational corporations to avoid paying taxes,”
Rob claims knowledge of purpose. Based on what? Mind reading? Or do you assume, simply, that a company that is a subsidiary of a foreign company MUST send all profits immediately to the nation in which that company is located?
Do all profits of Shell and Nestle in the US immediately flow to the Netherlands and Switzerland? Do either pay taxes on money earned in the US?
“Second, the difference between these companies and foreigners working overseas is that these companies are owned by U.S. citizens living in U.S. soil. ”
Irrelevant. If the US owners made NO PROFIT- that is, if NO MONEY flowed back to the US, than THERE IS NOTHING TO TAX. If they DID make a profit, then money flowed back.
“:Foreigners working overseas have nothing to do with the U.S.”
But they are the ones who just created all that wealth you speak of!
Let me break it down in a manner even a liberal might understand. Suppose I let you run the local franchise of SwamiCorp. We’ll call it RobCompany.
At the end of the first year, RobCompany has forwarded ZERO to Swamicorp. Robcompany has earned a profit, yes, but SwamiCorp has not seen one penny of it.
Swamicorp is in sovereign taxing jurisdiction A, Robcompany is in B.
So the Government goons want to collect money, and they knock on my door.
“Swamicorp has already paid on its income.” I say.
“But Robcompany’s got income too!” Goon says.
“Yes, but it’s not MY income. See? Look at the books. It’s all Rob’s income. Rob didn’t pay me anything this year.”
“But you own that company!”
“Irrelevant. If I earn nothing from Rob, there is nothing to tax.”
“You really didn’t get a dime from Rob?”
“Nope. Not a dime.”
“Oh, but your assets increased in value! Capital Gains!”
“Yes they did. And when I get a penny out of that, you will be entitled to confiscate your share. Until then, my income from Robcompany is zero, and taxes dues on Zero is Zero. Good day.”
Did you not catch the fact that I asked everyone to do their own research on this?
Google – Are foreign profits subject to U.S. taxes?
Also, which part of the $1.5 trillion profit made by U.S. multinational corporations did you not get? These are TOTAL FOREIGN PROFITS made by these companies as a collective with U.S. citizens as owners living in U.S. soil.
How does it feel to be a puppet of the top 1% of this country without them having to pay you a single dime for it?
One last thing that I’d like to mention is that you don’t seem to understand the difference between a subsidiary company and a franchise. By all means, please further your education by getting to know the difference. In the end, knowledge is empowerment to even people like you.
And Rob, BTW, I’m quite good with math.
When you use a term like “fair” and call it math… you fail.
Lord help us, by the time the Democrats remake education completely, high school math questions will look like this:
“Let X = 3 and Y = 6. How unfair is that?”
Swami,
So if math is not fair, I take it that we need to revamp the entire system that was ever created, in your opinion, right? Maybe you could create a new and better math system. What do you think? You claim that you are quite good at math so if you are not happy with the current system being used today, can you please save us all by creating a much better system?
No, Rob, it means you do not understand math.
“Fairness” is not mathematically relevant, and introducing it in a sentence beginning “Here is the math…” betrays utter ignorance of the nature of math.
If math is not used to make the correct and fair calculations, what does the ultimate universe that you live in use as a system for calculations? Do you use rocks and stones?
Rightly due?
Good little Jugen, you!
Thug!
Actually, no, Obama is lying when he insinuates that this is a “special” tax break. All businesses get to claim moving expenses as a deduction. Where the move actually occurs (within or without the country) is irrelevant for purposes of the deduction.
Please Google – Are foreign profits subject to U.S. taxes?
Do you understand the word “foreign?” If the sales transaction was done outside of the US and any profit taxed by local authorities why do you assume the US govt. has any claim?
“I would actually call this “economic patriotism”.”
If the dem parasites and their policies didn’t bankrupt the US into the condition it is in now, you wouldn’t have to panhandle with your tin cup.
So I guess in your part of country, U.S. corporations with foreign subsidiaries do not owe U.S. taxes. Oh great, I guess ALL U.S. companies can now create subsidiaries overseas and ship ALL the jobs overseas. Why pay taxes in the U.S. when you can live here comfortably and open businesses everywhere else in the world, right? By doing so, you’ll never ever have to bring the profits back by opening offshore accounts but when you need it, you’ll have total access.
Hey, come to think of it, this MUST be the American dream that we are all striving for.
Profits are subject to taxation in the country were said profits are earned. This dolt would have profits taxed to death in the host county and then taxed again in the country of citizenship. Under stupo Rob’s scenario, there would be no foreign investment by any company. There would be no reciprocal agreements to the effect that “I pay taxes in Japan or England or France on the profits of my American business creating jobs in YOUR country, while the USA taxes profits earned by Honda or Michelin or BMW, or Mercedes for the thousands and thousands of jobs created by foreign investors on American soil. Rob is just plain stupid. If Honda or Michelin or BMW were taxed in Japan or France or Germany according to stupo Rob’s scenario, they would never have made their substantial investments in our country, and we sure as hell would have no incentive to make investments in their countries. I think it called quid pro quo or reciprocity. The Rob’s of the world do nothing while insisting that people of initiative and vision put free food on their tables and fine clothing on their sluglike slimy frames. Rob is a troll.
Admit it Joe, basically what you are saying is that it’s ok for Mitt Romney to keep all of his foreign profits offshore and pay no U.S. corporate taxes indefinitely while U.S. companies that create jobs in the U.S. pay 35% corporate taxes. In addition to that, average Americans are also paying their taxes.
Does that pretty much sums it up?
Why do you tell us to keep Googling this? What if we don’t pick a link with a progressive take on this subject like the ones you are spewing. In any case, it is always funny to be told to go study something by someone so obviously biased and deficient in that subject.
Rob,
Sorry, but it is pretty hard to take someone seriously whose entire research methodology amounts to “Google this specific search phrase”. Some people actually know how to do research using multiple sources, including the plain language of the tax code, not to mention basic economic priciples and logic/common sense. Why don’t you try to google those terms and expand your own apparantly limited intellectual horizons?
Yes, under existing law, employers may take tax deductions for the costs associated with moving jobs out of the country.
Or into the country. Or to Boise.
As a non American, please excuse my lack of familiarity with your tax code. Do you mean to say that there’s some sort of special deduction for moving expenses, or merely that relocation costs are considered a pre-profit expense, and therefore not taxable?
You sir, are correct. Moving expenses are a “pretax cost line item.” This is Berry’s “Tax Break for going overseas”
When you are in business, there is money that comes in, and it is called “Revenue”. Some of that revenue is spent on payroll, some is spent on rent, some is spent on advertising, and there are of course other categories of things that the company spends the money on. These are known as “Costs” and “Expenses”. Whatever is left over is called a “profit” (if there are more costs and expenses than revenues, it is known as a “loss”).
Moving from one location to another entails what are called “Moving Expenses”. These have NEVER been called “tax breaks” – that is an Obama invention, AFAIK. There is NOT some special section of the tax code that allows companies to deduct these expenses from their revenue a second time to reduce their tax bill.
This is just another example of Obama’s normal tactic of lying, obfuscating, and generally trying to confuse the American public.
“When Obama talks about these tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas,…”
You should pause right there and ask whether “shipping jobs overseas” is always the devil Obama makes it out to be.
The answer is no, it isn’t. We’re in a global economy, and jobs are “shipped overseas” by all nations. Some of those “shipped” jobs arrive here. Ever heard of the Honda and Toyota plants in America.
So, first of all, don’t buy into Obama’s scapegoating of market economics. He’s never run a business and has no practical knowledge of how businesses work.
+1
It all shows how Obama believes we live in a zero sum society. He demagogues the exportation of jobs without realizing that this boosts the importation of cheap high quality goods. The loss of jobs on the export side of the economy simply shifts over to deal with the increase in activity on the import side of the economy. And with cheaper goods available to the consumer they can enjoy high standards of living with lower wages because of the lower cost of goods. Tariffs, excise taxes, duty fees, export subsidies; these protectionist policies distort economic activity and reduce the growth of the economy.
Before the Industrial Revolution, Zero-Sum Economics modeled world economics fairly well. If you had a group of 1,000 people, you could predict their productivity, profit and costs, with corrections for fertility of their soil, famine, good weather, war and such. Very little new wealth was created, because upkeep, famine and war tended to use up new wealth. Profits and productivity were limited by one’s limitations—it’s hard to work at night in the dark or when sick. So how do you manage to get rich in such an economy? You either become a brigand and steal, become a nobleman and tax or a soldier and loot. Obama thinks America is rich because it steals, taxes and loots the rest of the world.
We do not live in a Zero-Sum Economy anymore. Since the Industrial Revolution, people have the ability to increase wealth exponentially. A man creates a steam-powered loom which can weave more cloth in a week than a dozen women could weave in a year. He sells his cloth cheaper than the hand-made cloth and still makes huge profits. The people paying for his cloth have to give up their money to him to buy his cloth, but they are relieved of the burden of sitting for hours at a loom. The cloth purchasers now have time they can spend to do other things. Perhaps they take it easy. or perhaps they expand their farm and grow more crops. Or perhaps they decide to hire out as a carpenter one day a week and are able to make more money. They spent money on the cloth made by the steam powered loom, but ended up making more money for themselves. Another man invents a gas lamp. Now the powered loom can be operated into the night, making even more cloth. The hand cloth weavers who have lost their livelihood are hired to work the power looms. It’s hard work, but it pays more than they made weaving cloth by hand. The farmer is able to do many of his chores later into the night with the new lights. Costs of production go down while goods and food produced are increasing. And this goes on. The farmer ends up moving to a beach house in Florida. The loom operator is a millionaire. The weavers have surplus income that they save and use to send their children to college. Everyone profited. No one was exploited or cheated.
“So, first of all, don’t buy into Obama’s scapegoating of market economics. He’s never run a business and has no practical knowledge of how businesses work.”
Run a business? Obama has never even operated a freakin’ lemonade stand or had a paper route let alone run a full-time business!! And this is the dimwit our fellow citizens chose to run the whole COUNTRY!
We should be forever ashamed….
Mr. Obama, sorry if you weren’t properly introduced, the gentleman that you are referring to was the 45th President of These United States, Mitt Romney.
He’s like the bully that starts his tired old taunting again, but after backing down from the threat of a real face to face fight. His weakness has been shown, and the other kids on the playground have noticed.
Generally, the President will send out a surrogate, such as the Vice President, to attack the other party’s nominee. And we’ve seen what a good job Biden has done with that, handing a large shovel to the Republicans (buried the middle class for 4 years.)
Obama should have just gone out and delivered a standard stump speech about how he is going to create more green jobs, better educate our children, etc.
But it sure looks like Romney got under Obama’s skin, with those pesky facts.
The entire campaign has now turned into a competency test, and The Won will come out on the wrong side of that test, even when curved by the MSM.
Obama’s only chance for victory now is to demonize Romney, and to do it personally. The Won is going to look a lot smaller in coming weeks. I wouldn’t put it past Barry to call in sick for the next 2 debates.
Marco73, Please allow me to expound upon what you said. aitch (H) is not exactly “taking on Romney” himself. Get it? This is simply further proof that the man is not nearly as bright as he’s often given credit for.
Everything he is saying “on the stump” is stuff he would have said on debate night — IF he had either known or was bright (Read, quick) enough to rejoin. Instead, he’s back on TelePrompTor, spouting tripe his spin doctors made up overnight and fed to him electronically.
Something TOLD me to keep the debate on my DVR. I’ve been back to it several times and compared it to his latest ad hominem attacks. Many, MANY of them were things he said on debate night that “Governor Romney and agree on this.” (Ref. Social Security, more (better) teachers, TRUE “green energy” etc.)
Of course, following the scoring and the subsequent bounce for Romney, well, guess who becomes the flipflopper?
&obtw, don’t fret that the msm isn’t covering this objectively. Said attacks are coming at rallies where aitch is simply preaching to his own chior. Or, in ditzy ads that will come back to bite him in the next debate.
Meanwhile, as my circle says, “LTKT,” – pronounced “LitKit.” (Means, Let Them Keep Talking!”
Big Bird and Elmo are being protected from Smuggleupagun?
This campaign slogan is being brought to you by the number 16 trillion?
Lefty the Salesman not finding many takers last night?
“Smuggleupagun”
You freaking KILL me CF!
“Smuggleupagun” — Is that like “Itsnotatax”, “Itsnotafreebe”, in general, “Itsnota…” anything legislation?
It must be nice for Obama to get away from that mean Romney person and back to an audience he can fool.
Wow. What a wimp.
Slunk away from the debate with his tail between his legs, but now he’s all chest-thumping and “I showed ‘im!”
Yes! Just picture him … strutting back and forth and bobbing his head. “That’s right! Uh huh! I’m the man! I’m the man!”
I have a feeling Zero wanted to get ghetto last night. And speak like he did on the film clips. Now that would have been a riot-figuratively speaking of course.
Ha-ha. I see that. ‘Walk like a Morsi,,,,’
“You look like you lost a fight. Your face is a mess.”
“Oh yeah? You should see the other guy’s fists. I tore them up.”
I think what Obama really means is that the Romney who was on stage last night was nothing like the strawman he’d been campaigning against for months. When faced with the real Romney, Obama didn’t know what to do.
..And then goes on to tell his audience that the image they saw wasn’t real and insisting his strawman is the real Romney. Who are you going to believe, me or your lying eyes?
It’s just racist for the world not to be exactly as Obama imagines. So THERE. Nyeah.
Agree 100%. In addition Obama just fired his only ammunition he had for the next debate. He has shown his hand already.
Unfortunately for Obama and the MSM, they are believing that their mus-characterizations and straw men are real.
How did that auto-correct to “mus-”?
Preaching to the choir (and a gullible choir at that) is a piece of cake.
…until the fat lady sings…
…and then runs off with the cake…
I see a two-faced man in Obama. Where were these comments last night? He went home and his surrogates handed him some talking points and now he is awake and supposedly taking Mitt to school. Obama could not come face-to-face with Romney. Romney looked him dead in the eye and schooled him. I guess that altitude sickness finally faded away. UGH!
Yes, his trusty teleprompter has been topped off again by his thoughtful staff. If only he could have it there on stage.
Obama doesn’t dare make those comments to Romney’s face during a debate — because then Romney would have the opportunity to respond. When your campaign is based around slanders, exaggerations, half-truths, and outright lies, you can’t afford to give your opponent the a forum in which to respond.
Obama can only issue these zingers in front of approving audiences where he won’t be challenged.
Conservatives have GOT to get completely RUTHLESS with the media machine that filters, skews, and flat out LIES to promote the Democrat agenda.
The MEDIA is the enemy. And I propose starting by going HARD after NBC. Go after Comcast AND GE who both bankroll NBC. Comcast is having serious financial issues right now and GE is not doing so well anymore… It is long past time for conservatives to adopt ONE MISSION, to UNMASK and DESTROY the liberal media machine. Take down the Democrat party network propaganda machine ONE network at a time.
Without that media propaganda filter the entire Democrat agenda DIES!
You speak the truth! The ObamaMedia morons would have no idea what to do if confronted with their insidious subversion, for they too are like the playground bully that backs down from a real confrontation, but feels free to taunt and demean only those who they think they can lord over when they are safe behind their barricades. (Sounds like OccupyX, too, hmmm?)
Talks different when there’s a teleprompter to read.
Favorite Romney line from the debate. . .”you’ve been the President for four years.”
So now Obama has an imaginary opponent? Obviously the President needs to be placed in Obamacare.
You suppose he got that idea from Clint…?
President Obama is used to reading prepared strawman arguments from a teleprompter. Undefeated against dried plant matter! Last night he had to both 1) make his argument from memory and 2) face an opponent that politely but forcefully refused to be the strawman. More preparation will help Obama overcome the lack of a teleprompter, but what Democrat dares challenge Obama in practice at Romney levels of knowledge? Sen. Kerry doesn’t get Obama up to that level. Bill Clinton might (and might enjoy it), but would the Narcissist-in-Chief suffer a few weeks of humiliation in order to elevate his game? I think he’d rather blow off the debates, reading the teleprompter in front of friendly audiences instead.
The media is being instructed to do a better job of making Captain Socialist look better the next go ’round.
Won’t work though because whatever they come up with, it’ll be both obvious and pathetic.
Wonder what kind of brain-fire he was having when he suddenly discovered that Mitt Romney isn’t his “peer” and some likewise idjit with no credibility whatsoever. He must’ve figured that his Harvard degree and all that were so intimidating to Romney that he couldn’t possibly put up much of a fight.
It’s like the old Texas joke, “Show ‘im your badge” when the government dude shows up at the ranch and passes two cowpokes as he goes inside the gate to the pasture. One says to him, “Hey, I wouldn’t go in there if I was you….” but before the cowboy can get any more words out, the guy in the nice suit and sharply creased pants and briefcase says, “Oh…it’s ok…I’m from the government. Here’s my badge, see?”
Some 20 minutes later the government guy is at warp-speed running away from a very determined bull.
The cowboy who recommended not going into the pasture yells, “Show ‘im your badge!”
And that is where last night’s debate ended up. The sharp, experienced, board-room battle worn Romney took it to the vacuous, unlearned, ignorant, arrogant manchild and said, “OK..show me your degrees again? You know the ones that say you’re so smart, so well-spoken, so bright and know how to do everything?”
And the Caped Invader scuffled his shoes….kicked a small rock and muttered under his breath.
Now today is “I’ll show ‘im….yeah. Thinks he’s so tough and smart. I’ll show ‘im. He’ll see when I’m with my posse. Then he’ll be scared. Then he’ll see. I have all these people see? They want me to be president.(sticking out his tongue and waggling his fingers in his ears).” “You’re not so great. I’m better’n YOU. You’re nothing. You ain’ the president…I AM. Nanner nanner boo-boo. Nyah!”
Then Romney will do it again. And the media will be as crickets. They wailed this time but when times two and three happen…they will merely stand there with the exploded cigars in their mouths, wide-eyed.
“He must’ve figured that his Harvard degree and all that were so intimidating to Romney that he couldn’t possibly put up much of a fight.”
Very appreciative that you put this line in your post. What Obama and the media have failed to mention is that not only does Romney have a MBA from Harvard but he also has his JD or Juris Doctorate from Harvard and he did both in four years and he did it with a average around 3.79 – while married with 2 children at home. I suspect if Obama ever releases his grades they will be somewhere in the 2.0 range if that high. He was given the Harvard Review position not because of his academic record but because of the perception of who and what he is cultivated by one Barack Obama.
Obama has no idea of tiger’s tail he grabbed Wednesday night. An article in the NYT in 2011 about Romney gives a good description of who he is and what he is about. Not only does he research and prepare but he does it very well and when he goes into his executive negotiating mode, which he was in Wednesday night, he has no equal on the political scene because he doesn’t depend on a staff to do his research and then give him prepared notes and responses. Romney knows his subject matter and works hard to get it right. This is who Mitt Romney is and his track record proves it.
“New Economic Patriotism?” Does the Obama campaign really think that this is a winning soundbite? – To paraphrase Dr. Johnson, Dr. Johnson, “Economic patriotism is the last refuge of the economic scoundrel!”
What patriotic sacrifice is he asking from public service unions or from the 47% that pay nothing? It all comes down to forced socialism versus personal and economic freedom – and guess which one will always end up in disaster? Yes, some government organized safety nets can be effective, but any move to socialism begets more socialism. What we are seeing now is an acceleration of our slide in that direction due to the ascendancy of the Progressives. We all should hope (including Progressives) that Romney can win and begin to tilt the ramp back toward freedom.
The President want a do-over. The nation needs a do-over of the last four years. Neither of us get one. The best we can do is learn from our mistakes. The President doesn’t seem to get that. I have confidence the country does.
You’re right! Our golfing president wants to call a mulligan. Too bad for him we know he’s just going to hit it in the water again.
Obama keeps squawking about this $5 trillion “tax cut.” Now I’ve been following this campaign pretty closely, and I’ve never heard Romney mention that at all. So if telling this lie didn’t work for the president last night, I think it’s not going to work now and Obama should give it a rest. Maybe it’s time Obama came up with some real ideas on how to reduce our gigantic debt which is crushing us to death. THAT would be a refreshing change, rather than lying about something another guy never said.
His big “idea” was to saddle the nation with horrendous debt and then get everyone to go along with huge tax increases which, for his own reasons, not to pay for the debt, he knew would further cripple the economy.
Destruction is what’s on his mind. First, last and always. He simply has to figure out ways to camouflage everything to get the regular lefties to go along. They’ve been snookered too by the flim-flam man. This is why Matthews lost his erection last night because he actually had to witness the object of his affection as nothing like his comic-book told him he was.
When people fabricate such things in their heads, they become victims of it. Kinda like finding out dad isn’t so great after all and having to deal with that. Only much much worse because they have ladled upon this guy every single thing they could from curing the world of racism to, what was it? Lowering the ocean levels and ending global warming.
*sigh*
Whenever the pedestal is removed, the results are never pretty. However, this is just the first episode of the domestic violence Obama is wreaking on his media spouses. They will come back and forgive him. They forgave Bill-Jeff and adore him in spite of his lack of character and hatred of women.
But Obama was exposed and now they have to try to gain ground again. They might even get him back to where he was last week in “popularity”. But when he hits the mat again in round two, the more deeply immersed will start having doubts. But they will only start.
Maybe in America this is how celebrity is deflated. Last night was an epic fail for the brown clown. Next up, Biteme will try to baffle Ryan with BS. Hope Comedy Central carries it live.
The honourable man or woman confronts their enemy face to face when given the chance and public ally airs any concerns or complaints. Obama is acti g like a high school wimp here, too afraid to publically confront Romney, and waiting instead to denigrate Romney’s character the very next morning.
This petulant, narcissistic child lacks both honour and class. But then, we already knew that.
He’s mr bigsh@$ when he’s alone with his first love, the teleprompter!
How did he ever persuade American’s to vote for him?
Are we that stupid, dumb?
Sadly, it’s obvious that the answer is, yes, somewhere close to half the population of the country is that stupid.
Wow.
When no one’s allowed to challenge or rebut him, and everything’s set up for him, Obama’s a pretty awesome, dynamic speaker, isn’t he?
Doesn’t change the fact that he’s an “awesome, dynamic” liar, does it? — When there’s noone to call him on it!
“Economic patriotism” = “We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good.” -Hillary
I envy Mitt Romney. He is the only guy in the country that could beat the crap out of dear leader, in front of all of America, and not get arrested by the secret service.
My vote for winning post!
Obama talks and talks and talks.
Yet he says absolutely nothing.
“All sound and fury, signifying — nothing”!
“He ruled out closing the loophole that gives oil companies $4 billion in corporate welfare.” Actually, Barry, he did in fact say that could well be “on the table” if rates were lowered. He also explained that most of that went to small operators (I believe it as an R&D cost expensing rule, so not welfare. They aren’t being given a dime). Obama also won’t acknowlegde the 90 billion he has handed out to Solyndra, et al.
“He refused to even acknowledge the loophole that gives tax breaks to corporations that shift jobs overseas.” That’s because there isn’t one, which is why you refuse to identify it.
So all Barry is doing here is bellowing his usual BS in front of a friendly crowd where nobody is around to talk back at him. The reason he didn’t do this last night is because it would have been batted back in his face.
Obama has almost no real world experience. To him, money that comes into the government is all revenue to spend. I believe he’s stupid enough not to know that business can’t operate that way. Businesses receive gross revenue and have all sorts of expenses. If they have any money left over, that’s profit and gets taxed (at the highest rates anywhere in the world). Businesses aren’t taxed on gross receipts but on their profits, so business expenses are deductible. To Obama and similarly ignorant liberals, this is considered a “tax break for corporations”. I get the impression they want to tax businesses on gross revenues, not on profits. They’re morons.
5 sons didn’t prepare Romney for this.
What’s amazing is that the Little King is still spouting the nonsense that was clay pigeons for Romney. But now that he is a safe distance from the man with the facts and the courage to throw them back in his face, he can return to the only thing he is good at…lying.
Marxists have no shame, and they are hip deep in their own bullshit.
King Putt woke up this morning mighty sore from the beating he took last night, and realized his only option was to go right back to battling strawmen, to borrow a phrase, “like it never even happened”.
“King Putt”
I haven’t heard that one before – good one!
So Obama gets thrashed with ideas and facts, but instead of manning up he goes out and offers up lies, sarcasm and snark. From the sound of the tepid response, that was a very small crowd. Obama’s obviously in his element spouting unchallenged soundbites, but now we know that when faced with a cheerfully relentless and well-armed debater like Romney he collapses.
“a cheerfully relentless and well-armed debater like Romney”
I have to admit, I didn’t like Romney as our candidate, but I have been impressed by him and believe he is in this to win it. He sees this as his destiny and will play it smart to gain the presidency. I think his religious beliefs are really strange, but his presidency would bode well for religious freedom in general, because of the fact that a Mormon could be elected president. I am not a Catholic, but I can sympathize with the obvious attack on Catholics by the Obama regime.
I commit to call independents on the Romney website as a volunteer. I will work for this man. Please do the same, no matter what state you live in, you can volunteer to contact independents in swing states.
If I were Romney’s staff, I would be making notes of all these Obama friendly crowd remarks for the next debate.
And use them to beat this buffoon over the head again with Obama’s own rhetoric, with a nice smile.
Mitt Romney met an idiot who claimed to be Barack Obama.
Two words come to mind:
“Flailing” and “desperate”.
Obama, went into the debate thinking he’d be facing the Scarecrow (Man of straw with no brain) which he’s so well practiced in defeating.
He should have paid attention to his own ads, it’s the Tin Man who had no heart. (which is the fellow he’s been portraying Mitt as.)
That’s why he’s confused.
Is there anything sadder than hearing somebody say, “That’s what I shoulda said . . .”
Now that the MSM no longer can be trusted 100pcnt to spin things his way, and Jay Carney is fully in over his head, spinning in place, he has resorted to becoming his very own spin-master. At least, that’s the one (and only) thing where some degree of “innate talent”, meets a fair amount of practice. He’s hoping to get lucky with it.
Q.: Any way we can get the chip on his shoulder to replace one of the chips in his teleprompters; make’em fail? Stop his lying?
Obama is best when he can call on a team of writers, he’s worst when he has only got his own noggin to rely on.
What a transparent fool.
What I saw was a principal disciplining a pendulant schoolboy for errors. Although the student tried to act contrite, he could not hide that devilish grin. He, the school boy, was wrong, he didn’t care, and he will be back with a vengance.
Back in the echo chamber, where Romney can’t call him on his bullshit.
Punk.
Sounds as if the media false narrative about Romney fooled Obama as well.
THAT’S a smart comment, rjschwarz. I think you hit the nail on the head.
Pretty funny that guy! He should quit his day job and do standup professionally!
http://washingtonexaminer.com/byron-york-team-obama-struggles-as-romney-wins-big/article/2509826?custom_click=rss&utm_campaign=Weekly+Standard+Story+Box&utm_source=weeklystandard.com&utm_medium=referral
Get to the part where someone interviews Messina–the top strategist. I think he said something that perhaps off the cuff he should not have, and it tips their concerns:
“This is a race to 270 electoral votes,” said Messina. “Tonight Governor Romney’s doubling down on Medicare, doubling down on the huge ballooning of the deficit and taxes, is a problem for him in Florida, is a problem for him in Ohio, in Wisconsin, in Pennsylvania — all the places we’re going to have to go to get to 270 electoral votes.”
“In Pennsylvania” in f-ing “Pennsylvania”
That’s the inside straight. Look for the ads. Team O is worried about Pennsylvania. They should be.
Never send a president to do a teleprompter’s job.
Outstanding!! nuff said.
You owe me a new keyboard!
“5 Trillion tax cut”
What is he even TALKING about? The income tax brings in about $900 Billion a year. TOTAL. From EVERYONE.
So a 5 Trillion tax cut would be NOBODY paying ANY income tax for 5 years.
He needs to be called on this. This is ridiculous.
“Don’t get all math-y on me.” -The 0.
“the real Mitt Romney has been running around the country for the last year promising $5 trillion in tax cuts that favor the wealthy. ”
It is lies like this that make me lose all respect for the Obama campaign at a human level, not even at a political level. I have never heard Romney ever propose such a thing.
L’esprit de l’escalier. The witty things you wish you had said on your way to to bed when it is too late.
There’s a term for this phenomenon: it’s called the staircase effect. We have all experienced it. It’s when you think of the perfect rejoinder but you’re going down the stairs and it’s too damn late.
Sorry, Barack, it’s too damn late.
Typical behavior of a juvenile bully and coward. Why didn’t he speak up the night before, to Romney’s face?…we all know why.
Limp wristed wimp.
Shorter Bambi:
“Backward, turn backward,
O time in your flight.
I’ve thought of a comeback I needed …
Last night.”
(Actually, TOTUS “thought” of it, but that would ruin the rhyme and meter.)
Obama has demonstrated how inept and clueless he is without his teleprompter. The empty chair Clint provided at the Republican Convention would have performed better.
Obama’s post-debate remarks back out on the campaign trail remind me of Monty Python’s Black Knight who shouts, after King Arthur has severed his arms and legs, “Come back here and take what’s coming to you.”
If I recall correctly, that was the same bit where the Black Knight dismissed his injuries – including having both arms and hacked off – as mere “flesh wounds”…. Yep, here’s the clip the confirms it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zKhEw7nD9C4
Rumor has it that he called up Romney late last night and screamed something about “the Jerk Store” and hung up.
Nice! All things work their way around to Seinfeld eventually.
Barack Obama continues to beclown himself. The only question now is if the media will figure out some way to rescue this empty suit/chair, or if Obama will drag the media down with him.
… meanwhile, Liberals are STILL holding on to the childish belief the REAL Obama is going to come charging over the hill to the rescue… any minute now. Just you wait… Any time now… in mere moments. Boy, then you will REALLY see something! Any time… most any time now…
“The guy on stage last night, he said that he doesn’t even know that there are such laws that encourage outsourcing. He’s never heard of ‘em. Never heard of tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas. He said that if it’s true he must need a new accountant,” Obama continued.
The laws that encourage outsourcing are the excessively burdensome laws and regulations championed by Obama that make doing business in the US a difficult and less profitable endeavor. I’m sure that’s not what Obama meant, but the reality is that people outsource jobs because there is too much government here, interfering and adding layers of expense.
“But that couldn’t have been the real Mitt Romney! The real Mitt Romney is a straw-man I’m going to build, and then destroy, before your very eyes! And then I’ll build it again and destroy it again! Keep watching, folks, I can do this all night.”
I’m waiting for a photoshop of Obama talking to a cardboard cutout of Romney, saying “This is the real Mitt Romney I know.”
You guys are missing the point of Barrys remarks today. His handlers reloaded TOTUS and sent it out to give the folks at MSNBCBSABCNN something to talk about besides the debate last night. Mission accomplished. Don’t believe me, Brian and Scott and whoever will be on shortly (for you folks on the East Coast) Tune in, if I’m wrong I’ll apologize. Let me know.
Folks, I love your enthusiasm ; however, and its a big however….. There is five weeks until the election and a lot can happen.
Sara Palin has warned us about expecting a dirty surprise from the Obama machine and she is right. They don’t fight fair and a lie is as good as anything. That aside, thanks to Obama, the dead can vote in this country right along with any illegal alien that’s got a telephone bill. Expect the worst! This election may have to be finished in court and I’m scared of our waivering Justice Kennedy. Enjoy the moment but be ready for a fight. We are likely to see a repeat of the Black Panthers, or Black Muslims at voting sites. We may very well have to be ready to ensure our entry to those sites with weapons in hand. We are witnessing the rebirth of Tammany Hall politics.
You sure know how to be a wet blanket. We were just a little fun before the big disaster happens.
Wavering? That would imply that he’s actually attached to reality at SOME point. A sheet flapping on a clothesline in the afternoon breeze flaps because it’s held to the line by clothespins.
Kennedy is just drifting on the wind.
But be more worried about the Chief Leftist Mole, John Roberts. Now that he’s been activated and come out from his (not very) deep cover, he’ll be all out to ensure that Obama takes the oath in January.
The biggest mistake GW made. Keeping Panetta around pales by comparison.
it’s more the costanza-jerk-store effect, when you’re driving home humiliated and you come up with a completely lame comeback for later.
Everyone loves a winner and everyone hates a loser. The democrats have spent the last 6 months making Romney into a life size version of “Uncle Pennybags” on the monopoly game, but last night what came out was a man who clearly knew his stuff. Romney prepared and was ready. It showed respect for the job, the office and the country itself. People like that.
Obama looked like he was annoyed and put out. That it was beneath his dignity to have to answer these questions from “the little people”. He didn’t take the debate seriously and it cost him. Truth is, Obama has never faced a real candidate before. To compound the error, he used John Kerry to stand in for Romney. Kerry is a horsefaced idiot who is lucky if he can string a sentence together. He’s also a Senator, where being a horsefaced idiot is part of the dominant demographic for that august legislative body.
Senators are all supposed to be nice to each other. This is why McCain was not a good candidate. One Senator facing another means you just get two guys chatting. A smart man would have found someone to challenge him rather than a collegial sycophant. What he decided to get instead was someone who would tell him what a “great guy” he was because he wants to be Secretary of State someday.
Romney is not a Senator, Romney is an Executive. Romney has fired people, he showed last night he knows exactly how to do it. You can consider last night the first of three exit interviews for the President.
Obama has never faced failure before. He doesn’t know how to take advice to fix it. He’s never come face to face with the idea that he might be the cause of the problem that he now finds himself in. In his mind, its always someone else’s fault. He trusts no one. He thinks that everyone else in the world is an idiot.
Here’s what to watch for – Watch the other democrats. If they sense that he’s going to lose, they will run away from him. When that happens, that’s when the race is over. You will notice that absolutely no one is asking him to campaign with him. Right now, Democrats are neutral towards him but once they get a sense that he really is not going to win, they will dump on him fast to save their own skins.
If it was such a sure thing that he was going to win, they would all be standing next to him at every campaign stop. You don’t see that, so forget the polls their actions tell you everything you need to know.
I think what you have after last night is a whole bunch of people on the Democrat side who are now saying they are going to stay home on election night. What Obama and the Democrats really fear is that they might move from staying home, to voting for Romney. The Democrats can deal with a loss. They cant deal with a rout.
Biden is up next. I call Biden Obamas “first executive decision”. You’ll notice that those decisions didn’t get better over time. Then we get Obama and Romney together in a Town Hall. I don’t think that will go as well as this one as I fully expect the Democrats to stack the deck with lots of shenanigans in the audience.
If it goes like this one, I don’t think they will have a third debate. Some sort of “National Emergency” will come into play.
??? Really? You aren’t spoofing? That’s hilarious! Talk about Dumb and Dumber!
Hey, I have a suggestion for them: Kill two birds with one stone – have Biden and Obama practice their debating skills on each other!
I’d pay to see that!
Some folks have “L’esprit de l’escalier ” or staircase wit (you think of a great crack or comeback after you’ve left the party).
Obama appears to have “L’esprit de teleprompter”.
This is kind of like The Fonz from Happy Days (dating myself here) trying to regain some cool after he’s been pantsed and stuffed in a locker at school.
Um, no.
This is like Ralph Malph trying to regain some cool after he’s been pantsed and stuffed in a locker at school.
“New Economic Patriotism?”
Two things that really irritate me is the Left’s predilection for prepending 1) “New” to whatever same old rubbish they’re trying to rebrand this time, and 2) an adjective in front of a noun, and then taking the phrase to have the exact opposite meaning of the noun. See, e.g., “social justice.”
The thing I keep coming back to is…..what if President Empty Chair actually manages to somehow win this thing by demonizing the Governor and fooling enough people. What then? He hasn’t made a case for himself, he’ll have absolutely nothing to govern on….4 years of whinging and golfing?
This dude is so freakin’ pathetic. An embarrassment of the first order.
(TOTUS…..too funny… you guys sleigh me)
And he and his terrorist allies go around claiming Romney’s promises lack details. This man has not outlined his agenda for the next four years in any detail at all. It’s been attack, deflect and blame everyone else.
prezboy didn´t build that accountant line …. It came straight out of Time/Joe Klein´s column this morning. Tool.
What happened was that the MSM and MSNBC in particular fell all over themselves running to the Obama campaign to offer up the things they thought he should have said last night. The line about Romney not needing a new accountant because he’s doing just fine already was one that was said on Joe Scarborough’s show this morning.
So now he’s running around saying what he wished he could’ve thought of on his own last night and making himself look small and ridiculous in the process. It’s like he’s the Wizard of Oz–PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN. He got revealed last night as the man behind the curtain and now he’s trying to draw the curtain again but it’s too late.
Have you ever seen anyone happier to have their teleprompted back?
That’s the actual problem Mitt has had, isn’t it? The Mitt everyone thinks they know is just the creation of Axelrod and the Obama enemy media! Last night was the first time the public got to see the “True Mitt”, without the Obama Enemy media, filter! I’ve dealt with a more aggressive concept of dealing with the Obama Enemy media here: http://paratisiusa.blogspot.com/2012/09/an-open-letter-to-those-who-should-know.html?spref=tw
God Bless America!
My guess is that it was Jon Steward writers who stayed up all night figuring out what Obama could say today on the campaign trail. Everything about those comments smell of it.
It sure wasn’t that dolt of a President.
RULE 5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.” – Saul Alinsky
THIS is how Obama is attempting to recover from the drubbing he took last nite.
Look for more of this from the Left as the week progresses, especially in the social media sphere – e.g., Big Bird/Romney juxtapositions…PBS defunding jokes…etc.
Mark my words.
Reminds me of teaching my kids to ride a bike. Run along behind them with a hand on the seat. Let go when they aren’t looking and see if they can ride by themselves. The Big O couldn’t. The MSM has had their hand on the seat for too long.
I have a small farm near my house. They just got a puppy that barks real, real loud and tough. Then when you actually try to pet it, it breaks out into a high pitched wine and backs up with it’s tail between it’s legs (I think it suffered some really bad abuse and has a pretty big complex). Then when you turn your back and begin to walk away, well all of a sudden it’s really, really tough again. A puppy with a big complex who acts real tough behind your back but wines with it’s tail between it’s legs when it’s face to face with you, hmmmmm…..now who does that remind me of?
Can’t say you weren’t warned. Did it myself last night.
He has nothing to say in the debate, but now he’s opening his big mouth to his adoring fans. Not only is he unqualified and highly overrated, he is also a COWARD.
Like the defeated Saruman in “The Return of the King” (the book), “He has lost all power, save his voice that can still daunt you and deceive you, if you let it.”
Not that it matters too much but when was it that the transition from claiming 4 million jobs were created to the current 5 million jobs claim? Was that new for the debate or is it now part of his stump?
Our Putz POTUS has missed the train again. Barry,…the debate was over last night, again you’re a day late & 6 $ Trillion short with Axelrods’s retorts. Bye-rack, you’re done.
We have all experienced the guy who talks major sh*t once the big guy is out of earshot – but once he turns around and asks “Did you say something?” The guy who was Mr.-Kickass-with-his-mouth suddenly mumbles and refuses to make eye contact. Question: Is THAT who you want running your country? Is THAT who you want representing your interests with aggressive foreign leaders?
Answer: No.
President Petulant was too chickensh*t to say anything like that to Romney’s face. Gutless slime that he is.
President Petulant was too chickensh*t to say anything like that to Romney’s face. Gutless slime that he is. By the way, Bridget, still working full time regurgitating everything the Obama campaign puts out, I see.
Loved Dennis Miller’s debate tweet: “Obama better hope a Kicked Ass is covered under Obamacare.” That’s funny right there, I don’t care who ya are…..
It seems to me – granted a Romney supporter – that the comments by a revitalized Obama ring hollow. After all, he says these things about his opponent when there is no one to challenge him. BUT he was unwilling or unable to say the same things to Romney’s face. That says a lot to me.
Why is it that after Obama is critized or soundly put in his place he alway has to wait the next day to make remarks? It reminds me of people, who always stand there and taking a whipping and it’s not until after it, they come up with the come-back lines.
Here is some big news. I was listening to Larry Elder and he mentioned on his broadcast the existence of another Obama tape circa 2002 that is supposed to be incriminating. I can’t wait for it to come out. I’m sure we’ll never see the Khallili tape that the Los Angeles Times has sequestered. That tape probably has been destroyed.
Isn’t Obama great repeating someone else’s lines off a teleprompter like a tough guy before adoring fans? Funny how he has nothing, however, in a face-to-face meeting. His problem is he actually had to meet Mitt Romney, as opposed to the straw man caricature he and his media acolytes would prefer to run against. Bummer when he has to face a real person and real arguments. It’s so much easier for him to campaign against a straw man, and his compliant media lackeys go along with it.
The only fact Romney didn’t lie about was his name. When he was in the GOP debates he was ultra conservative now that he is in the general election he’s a moderate. Well he’s a plain liar all the time. You can trust a man like this that will say what ever his audience wants to here. I’ll be working hard on the phones calling independents reminding them of all Romney’s lies and helping them see the real man hiding behind the curtain.
So you’re building a case of why we should trust Obama?
Sort of like Carville calling Republicans liars right after the Clinton’s left office?
“It’s about time. We didn’t know that Big Bird was driving the federal deficit, but that’s what we heard last night. How about that?”
And therein lies the problem, Mr. President. You don’t know what’s driving the federal deficit, so I’ll give you a clue: it’s a million Big Birds – Solyndra, Abound, NEA, PBS, NPR, and your corrupt union buddy Big Birds, to name just a few. And all of them need to be grounded . . . . permanently.
Frankly, what really is perplexing is when President Obama in a campaign mood and facing sometimes an african-american audience talk to them in a type of cadent patois. If his audience is mostly white then he speak in his usual normal way. The only thing he needs to do now is to face a spanish audience and speak to them in castillian or in broken english. People are tired and sad of all of this dishonesty. Really is not funny anymore.
Looks like Obama got the surprise of his life: Romney wasn’t some pushover wuss with empty talking points. He got the real deal. And we got the real Barack Obama as well; unable to stand on his own or give any reasonable response. He has been fully exposed, but the left will continue to make excuses for him up until he’s dragged away from the Oval Office by Federal Marshalls…
Obama seems not to have learned very much from his loss. That is good. But is he still going to use the same old talking points that were so obviously false on the night of the debate? Go ahead ding bat! I hope you do.
America saw that you created a pretend candidate with the same name as Romney that was not the real man you are running against! America noticed that.
So if you continue to believe that Romney is a shrinking violet who lucked into the success in his life, I think you are still not going to figure out your researchers are pulling your leg. And that guy isn’t ever going to show up!
