Drudge Teases ‘Campaign Drama’ Tape to Drop Tonight (Update: Is This the Video?)
I’m sure you’ve seen the tease that Drudge has up on his front page by now.

He’s added some extra teasing in his tweets.
Curious tape dropping tonight. NOT from MOTHERJONES. Will cause controversy, ignite accusations of racism — in both directions!

I was thinking that this would turn out to be a hit on Romney, until that tweet about the internal debate at a network. What network would internally debate dropping a bomb on Mitt? Not even Fox, I think.
But if it’s Obama saying or doing something incendiary, then every network would debate dropping that on the eve of the first debate. He’s the president. His administration has been kicking free speech rights lately, in the Benghazi cover-up. If this tape Drudge is teasing is big enough it could upend the debate, or even render it irrelevant since it’s supposed to center exclusively on the economy. Airing the tape could also bring the leftwing hammer down on whoever airs it.
At any rate, as I’ve been writing this post tweets have passed by indicating that the network is Fox, and Sean Hannity has the tape. He’s saying it could “change the race.”
I hate to say this, but I’m now suspecting that it will be less than advertised.

Update: Hm. Andrew Kaczynski embeds this video, which is from 2007, in which Sen. Barack Obama moves into and out of a fake southern accent, while ranting about about the LA riots and Hurricane Katrina. The video matches the screenshot that’s up on Drudge.
In the video, Obama compares racism to a bullet that has been left in a wound, and yells repeatedly “Take the bullet out!” He also hints that he supports school choice, a stance he has reversed on as president.
But I’ve watched the entire video above, and unless I missed it there was no shout-out to Rev. Jeremiah Wright. There is, however, an edit several minutes into the tape. Perhaps what Hannity has is what was cut out?

It will be interesting to see if the other networks give this equal or any time at all. Mitt’s 47% comment was played nonstop, even by Fox.
However given the lack of coverage the MSM has given Fast and Furious and Libya I think they will pick and choose sound bites to explain why he didn’t really mean whatever he said. i have a feeling it is worse than bitter clingers.

Alex, In terms of what each President believes and who his associations are, as well as his political actions, Obama is still the worst. Can you imagine if he was in Buchanan’s place?-it would have been the complete end of our Republic and I am certain a death toll well in excess of the deaths of the Civil War. Taken as a whole qua values, Obama is not just the worst, but he is the worst in nearly every measurable category.

Sorry, but I don’t know how there could have been greater casualties than we had under Lincoln’s conduct of the war. His full scale assault on the South in the beginning and then his war of attrition after Gettysburg are about as bloody as it could have been, short of a campaign of annihilation against the civilian population. He relieved a half dozen Union Generals because of their inability or unwillingness to get on with the business of killing on a sufficiently large scale.
