Emily Zanotti snapped this pic in a downtown Tampa park this afternoon. The people milling around are occupiers.
This is their showpiece for the day: An ice sculpture hailing the 99%. In Florida. In August. With a hurricane coming.

Is this the one that symbolizes the “Melting Middle Class?” According to the schedule, it’s supposed to be unveiled on Monday.
(BTW, it’s 87 degrees and hard rain with lightning just west of Tampa as I write this.)
Over here on the right coast it is 20 to 5 in the afternoon and has dropped all the way down to 81 degrees thanks to a light rain. How’s it doing over there? Ice sculptures are not something we do outside down here.
– stink on ice.
How absurd!
Obviously they have never been told of “The Principle Of The 7 P’s”
(proper prior planning prevents p**s poor performance)
So far on Sunday (it’s about 6pm) we’ve really only had light rain, and light winds in the Tampa area. It’s about 85 degrees.
The occupiers should be happy with the weather so far. Here in August, it’s usually 92 and sunny until mid afternoon, when we typically get a short thunderstorm.
But the occupier’s luck will not hold out: it is supposed to get a lot windier, and we have some pretty serious rain on the way. Schools in the area are closed for Monday because of potential stormy weather.
About the only thing that could scatter the occupiers faster would be snow, or a free buffet.
