The Huffington Post, aka the Sideboob Gazette, has another grand scoop from the Democrats. Rep. Nancy Pelosi, who doesn’t release her own tax returns, doubles down with Dingy Harry.

“Harry Reid made a statement that is true. Somebody told him. It is a fact,” Pelosi told The Huffington Post in a Sunday interview. “Whether he did or not can easily be disposed of: Mitt Romney can release his tax returns and show whether he paid taxes.”

Both Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus came out swinging against Reid on Sunday over his claims about Romney potentially not paying taxes. Asked to respond to Priebus calling Reid “a dirty liar” over the situation, Pelosi initially responded, “Who?” She went on to say that Priebus doesn’t know what he’s talking about since he wasn’t part of Reid’s conversations.

“Well he doesn’t know that,” Pelosi said. “Harry Reid is a person who is, as we know, A, is a fighter, B, he wouldn’t say this unless it was true that somebody told him that.”

Let’s step through this. Romney says that Reid is flat out wrong about all this. But Reid insists that someone within Bain not only knew all about Mitt Romney’s taxes, but that Romney paid no taxes for a decade. If that was true, wouldn’t the IRS be on this? The Obama regime has has nearly four years to abuse its authority to pick away at everything in Romney’s background. But the best they can do is send out Harry Reid to make stuff up, and Pelosi to back Reid up in making stuff up. Neither Reid nor Pelosi have released their own past tax returns.

Pitiful. Really pitiful.

Even liberal Richard Cohen is disgusted with the Democrat’s gutter nonsense.
