It has been my observation that no sooner does St. Thomas Friedman (no relation, thank G-d) offer a prognostication about Israel, then the exact opposite occurs. If you could short his predictions on Wall Street, you’d be a rich(er) man.
Since his turn-your-back-on-Israel tantrum already bombed in Peoria, the man with the funny little mustache is grasping at a new straw. Now he’s talking about the allegedly irenic effects the rise of the Muslim Bros. in Egypt will have on relations with Israel. Give the guy credit, he’s got a wild imagination and he’s not afraid to be wrong or look stupid. But now that Friedman has spoken, I have an urgent message for any Israelis who are listening: Battle stations everyone!

Thanks for the heads-up.
Is it just me, or is the same true for Obama?
- He mentions evil coal mining: oBOOMa, there’s a cave-in in WVa
- He decries oil drilling in the Gulf: oBOOMa, an oil rig explodes and drilling shuts down
- He endorses wind and solar: thud, market prices plummet and the bankruptcies begin
- He focuses “like a laser” on jobs and the economy: zzzt, both grind to a halt
Israel just keeps getting stronger.
- Reports were last week that there is a lot more oil and gas in the Israeli offshore fields than previously thought.
- Israel is now working on a new law to bring the haredi religious and Israeli Arabs into military and national service. This will greatly help Israel’s economy and national unity.
Typical Friedman nonsense: “I don’t know whether the current Palestinian leadership can be a partner for a secure, two-state peace with Israel, but I do know this: Israel needs to be more creative in testing whether that is possible.”
Really? You dont know? You have devoted you entire life to this issue and you dont know what is obvious to everyone else?
He does know full well that there is no way the fractured unelected Palestinian leadership could conclude any sort of deal with Israel which makes the second part of the statement the equivalent of “If we all wish hard and think creatively we can become flying pink unicorns”
Friedman wants to dump all the blame on Isreal. Typical.
There will be no two-state peace until the Palestinian leaders love their children more than they hate Isreal.
There will be No 2-state solution Period-end of sentence.
There can be no agreements with an unelected arab entity -
even when you an elected arab entity – vis Egypt =
they make up the rules as they go along – it’s all temporary taqqiyah.
