Newark, NJ Mayor Cory Booker appeared on Meet the Press Sunday and called President Obama’s attacks on Mitt Romney regarding his time at Bain Capital “nauseating.” Someone must have gotten to Booker and persuaded him that it’s not a good idea to criticize Barack Obama.
Watch Mayor Cory Booker wreck his reputation and throw himself under the bus in less than four minutes.
Booker has built his reputation on level-headed honesty and competence in one of the most difficult municipal jobs in the country. After this video and Booker’s pitiful walkback on Twitter, that’s over.
Update: More at The Hill.

Notice how many times Booker uses the term “frustration”—a favorite term of Obama’s own speechwriters. He also uses Obama’s trademark phrase “let me be clear.”
On the basis of style, I’d bet that this utterance by Booker came direct from the White House speechwriting pool.
He found a “horse’s head” in his bed? Whatever he may have found there probably came from the other end of the horse.
A stunning, coerced, retraction, and a total lack of integrity on the part of Booker.
