Earlier this month, sarcastic Danish TV announcer Thomas Buch-Andersen utterly humiliated President Obama and undid months of his ham-fisted foreign policy attempts by proving that Obama says the same thing — literally, the exact same words — to every single foreign head of state that visits the White House.
A clip of his broadcast was uploaded to YouTube, and now that American viewers have discovered it, it’s starting to go viral.
I only wish this Dane had a job on American TV. Then I might actually turn mine on for the first time in ten years.

Interesting. What I’m hearing from my 17-year-old is that the Danes are all p.o.’d with Rick Santorum for saying foolish things about Danish health care. I think I’ll forward this link to him.

Come on, NPR and PBS, you’re so saintly and self-congratulatory doing this under Republican administrations, and your productions are SO cultivated in sound and lighting – why did you let a white male Dane scoop your efforts to provide the American public with real comprehensive perspective on the President of all of us?

Even though it looks kinda ridiculous. You can still argue that what he says is true to a large degree. Japan, the western European countries, the Philippines, South Korea etc ARE the strongest allies of the US compared to the rest of worlds 130 or so countries. So individually these countries are “one of the strongest allies”. And small countries like Denmark and Holland does indeed punch above their weight.
I will point out though that of all the allies in Afganistan Denmark does have the largest death toll compared to population size. In fact higher than the US. And this is a war that was started because of an attack on an American city. So that Obama doesn’t consider Denmark as being among the “strongest” allies could be considered insulting I guess.
Yes, the Danes have a good sense of humor, and less deference to authority than you’d expect.
The most hilarious is when Obama says:

Apparently he almost forgot which country the lady was coming from.

I don’t know if the mindless repetition is based on laziness or the assumption that his listeners are simple-minded and won’t notice or care. I can’t bear listening to him anymore, not only because I find his rhetorical ticks annoying in the extreme, but because the subtext behind his banal pronouncements is so profoundly disturbing.

You may know all about Alexandria, you know not everything about the Netherlands. We have extremely severe laws on euthanasy. It’s almost impossible to have it. I have begged to have it myself as I’m dying in a cruel and very painful way. I have been filling in forms for the past six months. Many doctors came to my bed. I will not get euthanasy, because only one of all these doctors is not ‘fully and completely convinced’.
I will suffer until I die ‘naturally’, which is probably in a couple of unbearable weeks.
I invite you to come over to Amsterdam and ask around. See for yourself. You’re welcome to stay in my place, where I can no longer live. I stay in a hospice. Come over, ask around anywhere , see for yourself and bring back the truth to the US.
If you are well enough to web-surf type on a keyboard, you can end your life all by yourself.

Again an absolute lie from someone how does not know anything about The Netherlands. Euthanasia is NOT for the defenseless, the troublesome, the annoying and the costly.
Euthanasia is for people how are extremely ill and suffering by extreme pain in which healing is no longer possible. An example is cancer in an advanced stage. Only the patient decided if he/she wants euthanasia. Not a family member, physician ore someone else can make that decision.
Who’d have ever thought that the Europeans would have a free press when the U.S.of A. no longer did? My hat is off to the Danes!
