California’s Clown King Jerry Brown Unleashes His Special Brand of Lunacy
Ahhh… California. You never, ever fail to amaze. I’ve written about you before – how you resisted the tidal wave of Tea that broke over the rest of the country like a wave of good sense and allowed it to come to a crashing halt at California’s eastern border, ensuring another few years in the loony-bin. You brought back Governor Moonbeam, who has now really outdone himself in the bats**t crazy department, as he spent the past few days clearing his desk of the final bills sent to him by his equally barking moonbat legislature. It’s such an overwhelming display of ignorant arrogance that I almost don’t know where to begin.
Almost.
He has outlawed “open carry” of handguns. His decision, of course, is in response to the rash of violent shooting deaths spawned by law-abiding citizens exercising their right to carry a gun. Oh… wait. That never happened. Correction: His decision, of course, is in response to his own and other leftists’ desire to undermine that pesky Second Amendment that they hate with a fiery burning passion, impose more state control, and infringe on citizens’ liberties.
Speaking of liberty, and citizens, Governor Moonbeam ignored the clear will of the majority and has granted state financial aid to illegal aliens. So if you’re from Idaho, you’ll pay full price at UCLA – but not if you’re from Tijuana. His decision, of course, is because California is absolutely brimming with money and can afford to throw a whole bunch of it at illegal aliens. Oh… wait. California’s economy is actually circling the toilet and about to go down for the last time. But it’s okay – because this bill certainly won’t inspire any MORE illegals to show up here in order to get more stuff. Oh… wait. Yes, it will. But at least this bill certainly doesn’t send a message that violating the law is okay and will be rewarded. Oh… wait.
Particularly high-handed was the Clown King’s banning of ballot initiatives from primary elections. Now, any ballot measure may only be decided during a general election. One of the few Republicans in the California legislature, Assemblyman Martin Garrick, says:
Arrogant political acts like this continue to poison the environment for cooperation in Sacramento.
I would argue that the Clown-in-Chief doesn’t allow any room for cooperation with his almost unrelenting Leftist attack on what’s left of California. Although he vetoed one of the stupidest bills to come along in forever – the one that would have encouraged babysitters to unionize, and parents to provide a paid relief sitter if they were out too long – he apparently only did so after deep and thoughtful contemplation. Of what, we do not know. He also was quoted in the L.A. Times waxing poetic in favor of parental rights:
I am concerned about the continuing and seemingly inexorable transfer of authority from parents to the state… not every human problem deserves a law.
And thus he also vetoed a law that would have fined parents whose kids ski or snowboard without a helmet. Fine and well. But before we confer on Clown the title of Parental Rights Defender of the Ages, let’s review just two more of his contemplative decisions.

This really is Nero fiddling while Rome burns. The Golden State is staring bankruptcy in the face and they’re regulating teen use of tanning beds. How much longer can they keep kicking the can of financial Armageddon down the road? That omnipresent cloud of reefer smoke that hangs over Mendocino County must be covering the state by now.
Not called the land of the fruits and the nuts for nothing. Far out man – like rad – dude
Just to nitpick one point – HPV (the virus for which Gardasil is a target) may be known for causing genital warts, but it isn’t actually a sexually transmited. The transmission vector is skin-to-skin, not bodily fluids, and can be transmitted via a handshake.
Got a wart on your hand? There’s a possibility that it is HPV-caused. Sores on the back of your throat are also an uncommon, but well documented, effect (most likely from touching food or a tothbrush with HPV-bearing hands.
It’s apparently robust enough that it can remain on a surface which someone has touched, such as an elevator button.
The HPV vaccine is *not* a STD issue, it’s a general communicable disease one.
Do you have a cite for this?
Hello CA:
Everyone in this state who pays taxes and believes in Freedoms, Rights and Liberties should be absolutely OUTRAGED at the LUDRICOUS LEGISLATION being adopted, passed and singed by the Moron Governor of this state. There should be buses on the road filled with ANGRY, IRATE, parents, taxpayers, senior citizens, and the like headed to Sacramento to take back the Capitol and our State from people who do not recognize, appreciate, or value Freedoms, Rights, & Liberties as defined in our nations founding documents. Since when does the State of CA have the right to ignore and usurp these precious mainstays of civil management in Government. I find no where in those documents that give the State of CA such powers. Therefore every stinking piece of Legislation passed by a diengenous Legislature who wants to violate all Taxpayers “UNALIENABLE RIGHTS, FREEDOMS, LIBERTIES, ETC” should be sued in court with each bill identified in a TAXPAYER Class Action Law Suit. Further Governor Moron should be Recalled and Held accountable for such egrigious management of the TAXPAYERS Trust. This whole STATE OF CA Government needs to be REPLACED with SANE, CARING, INTELLIGENT, FEELING persons who will do the PEOPLES BUSINESS ACCORDING TO PRESCRIBED EXISTING GOVERNING DOCUMENTS, and not be inventive, or interpretive. CA is in BIGGER TROUBLE NOW, as a RESULT of Governor Morons Third election as Governor. HE NEEDS TO GO, AND GO NOW!! Parents, Taxpayers, Businesses cannot TRUST HIM or CA GOVERNMENT. This is such a DISASTER AND WE ARE ALL SUFFERING THE RESULTS!!!! HOW MUCH LONGER WILL IT BE BEFORE CA COMES TO IT’S SENSES?
california will not come to its senses until a major earthquake (7.5 or higher) devastates a few cities and the lemmings cry for government help only to realize there will never be any
or
most of the uninformed/unengaged realize they are more “libertarian” than they realize, rather than the default “D,” and begin voting that way…
maybe another 10 years?
*8.5 or higher– sry
Well, if you’re taught by Jesuits, you’re liable to think like one. It can’t just be me that knows many failed priests or almost-priests who have some really crazy ideas they learned at places called Loyola.
At least he’s not a child molester…what? That was never proven!
I know quite a few priests. The ones I like don’t like Mr. Brown. They think he’s a communist, plain and simple. But they’re not Jesuits, either.
The tanning-bed law may or may not be a good one, but it in no way affects what a doctor can prescribe.
So if you have skin problems that a dermatologist thinks would benefit from phototherapy, you may have at it. No doubt there will a boom in tanning-bed docs, akin to the 215 specialists.
You missed the Vetoing the bill that prevent cops from searching your cell phone at will.
Note to the Red states: be careful what you wish for. 40 years ago, California was pretty near perfect. Growing industry, great weather, a huge economy low unemployment. It was subsequently invaded by the liberal locusts who had ruined their own states and were now looking for work. If California goes bankrupt, those locusts will be moving into your state and there’s enough to make an impact whereever they go. Beware.
Thank you Gov Brown for common sense gun laws. I am a 29 year police officer and I am pleased that I won’t have to deal with the open carry crowd any more.
No, you’ll have to deal with people with valid CCW permits, since the “open carry” dodge was the only thing keeping the courts from forcing Cali to abide by the constitution. “Shall issue”, here we come.
You might long for the days when people were carrying empty guns.
