Democratic Congressman Gene Green, along with Democratic Reps. Charlie Gonzalez of San Antonio, Silvestre Reyes of El Paso and Lloyd Doggett of Austin, have filed suit against the Texas legislature’s proposed Congressional redistricting. They seek “court-ordered creation of two Hispanic congressional districts in Harris County.”
Of course, should Hispanics desire “one of their own” to represent them in Congress, they’ll have to remain living in those districts. And as the districts become more and more Hispanic, they’ll eventually lose the ability to integrate into American society.
The Nazis kept the Jews under control in Warsaw. Useful things, those ghettos.
Democrats, aka the lawyers’ party, will use legal gambits like the Voting Rights Act to ensure their burgeoning new “victim” group receives racial preference so their ‘own’ represents them in Congress. This is to better enable Democrats to steer Hispanics down the road they forced upon Blacks following the Civil War, when the Democrats used the stick/carrot (White League terrorists/paternalism) to cajole freemen back into a state as close to slavery as possible.
The Democrats, just as racist as they were post-bellum, want to gain another captive voting bloc. They seek to isolate Hispanics by racial heritage in the new, politically correct ghetto system, convincing them to place the yoke on their own necks in exchange for handouts.

All this districting and hispanic polorizing ‘crap’ would eventually go away IF the congress would do their job according to their constitutional mandate….even the Supreme Courts interpretation of constitutional congressional authority to regulate immigration through the Citizenship Clause.
All the nations people and the government agree that immigration law and enforcement is broken and only controlled by selective ‘political’ whim….refusing to fix it with new comprehensive legislation. If the congress would have the balls to get in the ring and slug out a new comprehensive law, most of the problems would eventually go away.
That said, the matter of States districting will always be a matter of controversy and fights by the social justice folks.

Mr. Nemerov:
Arent you projecting a little with that if you want a hispanic congressman – you cant move anywhere else business? I think “whose going to be my congressman or who can I make my congressman” has to be way down on somebody’s list when choosing a residence.
In my voting lifetime, I moved from: Bobby Rush’s district to 2. one of the 1-block slivers of Luis Gutierrez district; and now to 3. Mark Kirk/Bob Dold’s north suburban district. Dold got mapped out by the Illinois Senate to create an M-O-R district that could be captured by a blue dog or DLC dem. I’m in that new territority and like the opportunity to be a true swing vote.
The “group” most victimized in this latest round of redistricting nationwide is neither blacks nor hispanics but moderate to liberal whites. In Illinois, it is fiscally conservative but socially M-O-R white collar county suburbanites that have been disenfranchised. all to retain a core group of 7 democratic reps (3 black guys, 1 annoying Rican, 1 Irish, 1 Polish, and 1 Jewish)from Chicago, and in doing so have 5 taking in territority like a wagon wheel radiating from Chicago proper. I just say we defer to some computerized map making algorithm.
NO. Based upon historical precedent, the Dems like to keep control of their victim constituencies. If Hispanics want a Hispanic rep, what better way to bait the ghetto trap than to set up these “Hispanic” districts?
Then the Dems are indeed Dums, because trust me, blacks and to a lesser extent hispanics (who now really dont bother doing their time in Little Village and Pilsen) arent taking the bait and staying in place. Witness how Bobby Rush is 125,000 short, Jesse-2 is 115,000 and Gutierrez is 115,000 short of their ideal district threshold of about 714,000. Much of that went to a suburban corridor stretching from Elgin south to Joliet (and many went out of state altogether). The fair thing would have been to consolidate these 3 city of Chicago-based districts to 2. However, Republicans like to pack their opposition and swing constituencies away into ghetto districts as well, eliminating the white liberal/moderate crossover candidate who is less likely to be a single-issue racialist candidate (Gene Green, notwithstanding). This can be seen in the new district that is a combination of collar hood towns Aurora and Joliet. However, the senate Dems were smart to include parts of more well to do Naperville and Bolingbrook.
Sounds like politics as usual to me.
Neither Lloyd Doggett nor Gene Green are Hispanic.
Irrelevant. They are members of the modern Jim Crow party, whose goal since the Civil War has been to used terror and entitlements to enslave minorities and keep them on the plantation.
I think of it more like “gene green doesnt want to give up his particular seat, so he forces the legislature to create a 2nd seat”. What are the doing with the Fahrenholtz seat? If it remains unchanged and he stays to fight, I think the better of him.
