Vogue tries to skate off on Asma al-Assad

Oops, there it was!

As Bashar al-Assad continues to morph into Pol Pot, Vogue magazine has deep-sixed its February whitewash of his wife Asma – “A Rose in the Desert” – replacing it online with a cutesy 404 “OOPS” accompanied by a trendily-dressed Vogue model (yuck!). There’s not even the semblance of an apology for its pro-fascist propaganda from the mag.

This is one of the more repellent acts of cowardice by a major US periodical since the Nazi period. Sy Newhouse should be ashamed.
