Pence: No White House run

He broke the news to supporters in a letter.

Pence ended months of public speculation with a letter to supporters that he shared with the Indianapolis Star. In the choice between seeking national office and serving Indiana in some capacity, we choose Indiana,” the six-term House member wrote.

I’ve worked with Rep. Pence a couple of times.  He is exactly as he seems: genuine, humble, fair, smart, strongly patriotic and deeply committed to conservatism.  He’ll make a great governor, and hopefully before long, a great president.

  1. OK, he seems to be ruling out the very-long presidential primary process. I don’t think that necessarily negates this possibility:
    Jindal/Pence 2012!

good, Pence carries too many social issues in his agenda.
let elect people who stress americans issues.

I like him as a candidate, too, but give him 8 years in the governors mansion, so he has the executive creds, and he can run for the White House in 2020, continuing the line of conservative Chief Executives.
