How the UN Oppresses the Islamic World

The first taste of victimhood is free…

People reading the title of this article should be excused for doing a double-take. To most of us the United Nations has been — especially in the last few decades — a debating society dedicated to the promulgation of anti-Semitism. It seems all the organization does is pass resolutions condemning Israel, that is when they’re not launching investigations of the same country via their Human Rights Council, a latter-day branch of the Wehrmacht, led by posturing Third World bigots, that usually meets at beachfront resorts.

Even UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has been a tiny bit perturbed of late by the orgy of Jew-hatred emanating from the organization he heads. Forget Boko Haram and ISIS, forget 170,000 dead in Syria — it’s the Jews that are the problem.

But this has all been going on for so long and with such idiotic single-mindedness that it has become a joke. Hardly anyone with half a brain would take it seriously — except perhaps a member of the Brandeis faculty, and they absolutely do have half a brain.

And Israel, if you haven’t noticed, is doing pretty well as one of the world leaders in everything from microchips to medical research, possibly the world leader for their size. Most recently, they’ve come up with a way to diagnose cervical cancer with a smartphone. An Israeli tech company, Mobileye (a purveyor to Tesla), was able to break a record for one of their nation’s companies with an 890 million dollar IPO last week right in the midst of the Gaza conflagration and a global stock meltdown.

As you may also have noticed, the Islamic world hasn’t been having a lot of tech IPOs lately. They’ve been too busy killing each other — and everybody else — for a long time.

What’s the cause of this? Well, there are many that are not the subject of this article, but the United Nations is — and the United Nations has been a principle enabler of Islamic decline for decades.

Understanding the UN, one must understand the One World Marxists.

They have made bedfellows with the Muslim Brotherhood.

OWS/MB.

Take a seat at dinner with Barack Obama and Rashid Khalidi. Let the LA Times tape the proceedings.

Invite Bill Ayers and Heather Bloom, Ali Abunimah and Cloward/Piven to join you. Have George Soros arrange financing and media coverage.

The BBC will split the international coverage with CNN. Frank Marshall Davis will recite poetry.

And discuss how you would like to treat America and Israel under the World Government. See what you come up with.

Don Warden and Jeremiah Wright will be panel moderators.

Conduct this entire evening in your mind. Let it play out fully.

Barack Obama, Sr will give a reading of his dissertation.

Do this and you will experience Obama's entire life and enter his worldview. The UN is a Marxist Caliphate unholy union.

It is the World Government lying in wait. Spend an evening in your mind at dinner with the plotters.

And watch freedom get gang raped right before your very eyes.

Roger,
I agree entirely, but I also think that you have missed a major point.

This is the distinction between the population of the Islamic world and the warlords who rule them, largely by the sword and through fear and subjugation.
The UN and, for that matter, all the powers from the US through Britain and France to Russia, have long been cooperating with the warlords at the expense of the population.

Take, for instance, the matter of the 'Palestinian' refugee camps in Lebanon. According to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, descendants don't count as refugees. They should get citizenship in the country in which they were born. But the 'Palestinian' descendants in Lebanon are deprived of citizenship because they fall under UNRWA, who in agreement with the warlords (Hizbollah, Fatah, and the rest) registers them as refugees forever. The UN is thus directly responsible for depriving the people of the basic human right of citizenship. This is probably one of the greatest crimes of the UN.

The UN has become nothing more than a VIP lounge for dictators and terrorists. Even though the UN campus is an excellent example of mid-20th century architecture, it's long past time to tear the damn place down, preferably without even throwing the bums out. Then sell the site to Donald Trump. Let him negotiate with the Mohawks and the NFL so a casino and stadium can be built in it's place and we can bring the Jets and Giants back to NYC where they belong!

It is much worse than that. The very purpose of the UNWRA is a dagger at the heart of Israel wielded by "moderate" Arab countries. There is a different UN organization for refugees; the reason "Palestinian Arabs" have a special organization is to make sure they stay refugees, and harbor resentment, generation after generation. The children are identified by the village their progenitors came from, whether or not it still exists. Contrast with the Jews who fled Algeria and Iraq, who now live in Israel. It is similar to the furor raised by Arab countries when Israel built nice apartments for the Arabs so they wouldn't have to live in a camp, and in fact stopped Israel from giving them the apartments.

I truly believe that if the Arab world would convert tomorrow to Christianity or Atheism or some other evangelical religion, it would act exactly as it does now. It acted this way before Islamism was big - in fact many Christians were involved originally, and of course the Ba'ath philosophy of Saddam and Assad is a form of Nazism. As long as they believe they can win; as long as they wear tin-foil hats and believe there was a massacre in Jenin and 9/11 was not perpetrated by them - they will act this way. And the UN, the EU, and the Western media are complicit.

Islam has something to do with all this.

Well, yes, otherwise Iran and Turkey and other non-Arab countries wouldn't be involved, but it is not determinative. The PLO was founded as a Leftist organization, Arab Nationalism is largely the creation of Arab Christians, and Ba'ath was created by a European Orthodox Christian (although there a questionable claims of a deathbed conversion to Islam).

Islam is the means, not the cause.

The cause is Arab pride (or Arab racism, if you like), anti-Semitism, and, in Ronald Reagan's terminology, "believing in things that ain't so". The problem will be solved if and when they are convinced they cannot win.

Original analysis, mzk. 20 years ago you might have convinced me, partially. Not now. Islam is on the march among the Arabs, or at least coursing through large portions of the wild Arab river.

About the Arab Christians, yes, but that was also evidence of their marginalization and intellectual status in those days - Aflaq, George Habash, etc. They sought a vehicle that would make them fully Arab, because they were aware they would never be. And now? The communities that people like Aflaq and Saddam's foreign minister came from are being decimated by the Muslims.

No, Islam is both means and cause. We are a bone in their throat, in the first land, or one of them, conquered by the Prophet's warriors. And their Jew-hatred is doctrinal, as Robert Spencer repeatedly warns.

And by "original" you mean?

So are you saying the Kahane (*) was wrong, and that they will not stop even if they are convinced they cannot win?

(*) No, I am not a follower of his, he was just a friend of the family, but his point seems correct to me; the Arab cannot abide someone else ruling over him unless he is convinced he cannot win. For this he was called "racist".

"A fresh attempt to cast light on an unenviable situation."

But not one without flaws.

No, I did not say Kahane was wrong. I said in effect that the true believers among the Arabs are very dedicated. However, when meeting enough force, conviction, or force of conviction they will buckle. Kahane had his points. His strongest point, by default, was that if we do not truly believe we will inevitably slide into a situation of endless stalemate fueled by the enemy's belief that we will give up in the end. For this statement, by implication, he must be congratulated, and the Israel establishment condemned for banning him.

I take it that since the US is the largest contributor to the UN that this makes us oppressors/enablers as well? Sorry, sorry state of affairs as many of us here would love to see that money removed and used to stop the terrorists as well as help those victimized by them.

What would also help would be removing diplomatic recognition. The UN exists to give cushy jobs in New York to well-connected people from dinky countries. Let them live in Geneva.

Essentially, the analysis of cfbleachers explains the problem as well as can be stated. The wars are with 1) Islam, 2) Progressivism, 3) the corrupted elites, to the extent that they are progressives or simply corrupt while claiming to be patriotic and moral. Each of the wars must be fought in its own way; wars 2 and 3 are particularly difficult to fight because they mean civil war by one means or the other. As Bleachers and others have stated, the progressives have seized control of the educational system and media, and brainwashed whole populations.

The solution(s)? Well, the war against 'Jihad' or 'Islamism' (euphemisms that also speak to the problem to an extent) requires, in some way, fighting and at least partly winning war(s) 2 and 3 first, or simultaneously.

So, there is really no solution but being dragged by 'Jihadists/Islamists' towards a series of showdowns. See - Hamas/allies in Gaza, ISIS etc. ISIS flags are now flying freely in some Israeli towns.

We have all waited too long, and we will now pay the piper.

Larry, I call this analysis you are outlining...Filling Out Your Brackets For The Final Four.

1) I LOATHE the term "progressives" (although I fully understand the genesis of the term, I feel it glorifies traitorous d-bags. I won't compliment them while I am insulting them)

But yes, these small c communists are in the Final Four

2) large C Communists. Russia, China and all their collective (ist) puppets. Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, etc

3) radical Islam, which may be a redundancy, but I will give some small group the benefit of the doubt. So small, however, to be insignificant on the world stage. If they indeed exist...the net impact is as if they don't.

4) us. The Resistance. Guardians of freedom and liberty.

Three of the four are totalitarian. One is anti-totalitarian.

Three of the four are propagandist. One is anti-propaganda.

Three of the four educate by indoctrination, slander and revisionism. One is anti-indoctrination.

Three of the four are lawless. One is law abiding.

Three of the four are anti-free market. One is pro opportunity for everyone.

Three of the four despise Judeo-Christian beliefs and believers. One is predominantly Judeo-Christian.

Three want to obliterate, destroy, annihilate America and Israel. One wishes to preserve, protect and advance America and Israel.

The Final Four War is already on. In fact, I would say it's right around halftime.

The only problem is, three teams have been playing for the full first half, while one team is still in the locker room in their warmup outfits, stretching and lacing up their shoes. They have no clue the Final Four War has started.

It is said that ignorance is bliss. Only if death is the final ignorance.

Yeah. We impale ourselves on our residual optimism, too. No matter how I try, I can't extinguish the hope within me. We can't live with it, yet, somehow, combined with our somewhat goofy Americanist upbringings of 'that time', it cripples us in facing these problems.

Yes, you're right. As a former hoop fanatic myself, I would say they've got The Big 'O' Oscar Robertson, Wilt and Jerry West. We've got Nate Thurmond and an old, banged-up Elgin Baylor. And Oscar, Wilt and Jerry are playing like they'd like to take our heads off..

I suppose that "oppresses" would be interchangeable with "enables" for the title of this article? Their selective memory is on display continually, with the protocols of the Geneva convention tossed aside and forgotten when the UN speaks of the hordes of terrorists that surround Israel.

The beat goes on. The same-old raises its head and looses its lungs. It is all religious warfare in the end. Islam pretends to venerate Avraham, yet curses his descendants. Islam claims its adherents as his descendants, but this is false. Islam is of Ishmael. It is the child cast out. It does not matter if any of us is secular or religious; Jewish or Christian or some other thing (aside from Muslim). The issue is the values that a society proposes. The issue is the essence of a nation. The Jewish nation in the land of Israel is a good nation, with its flaws. So too the American nation, though I believe it is now breaking down and breaking apart.

In their pain over this, some American Christians blame the Jewish Obama voters (who certainly are part of the problem); Israeli leftists blame the nationalists and religious folk. This is all steam that comes up from the daily discord. And to second Hikaru's opinion from below, and to respond to Tex, a great guy - 'rebuke' will not be enough. And to Roger too - Rog, rebuke just won't do it...

There is a stage past rebuke that more and more people must accept to make progress. If the horrors committed now against the Christians and Yezidis in Iraq is not enough to help us realize this...well, we Jews won't go like sleep to slaughter (excepting the Liberals, of course).

Living in Israel also, I have to say that a lot of people here are not convinced we won't go like sheep to the slaughter, only this time it will be because of holding to suicidal "principles". What happens when they get missiles they can aim?

Of course I agree with you, Larry, that rebuke is hardly enough. It's just another weapon in the war and admittedly not much of one - perhaps only useful in that it may make a very small amount of the liberals wake up.

5 weeks ago Link To Comment
What happens when the Liberals wake up? They almost never do. The war is not just between Islam and the Infidel, it is also internal as you and many others point out. This war must also be fought, in every democratic and Western society..but we all let the Left or Progressives dictate the language and defend ourselves against their attacks. We are not making much progress at all, Roger.

This is both a simple and a complicated answer, Roger. It is a bit like playing tennis well, you know. I can articulate the theory, as in the theory of instruction - forehand, backhand, serve (stance, ball toss, balance between tension and relaxation), focus; then: tactics and so on. I am not diverting your point, at least not intentionally - that is, I will try to write an intelligent reply or article - but I will continue with the tennis analogies. One day, several years ago when arthritis had not done so much damage to my body, I decided to practice with just one thought in mind - watch the ball into the strings like Federer. Shut out all other thoughts. Just be sure that you see the d*mn ball into the strings on every single shot. I ran like never before, and hit the ball like never before...and was exhausted. So, it's 'keep it simple, stupid' - but it's also the courage to hold the truths out boldly, to state them, to act on them, and to understand who is friend and enemy. It's very hard...very hard.

Can I make a suggestion? I would follow the path of MacArthur at the surrender of WWII.

Just as the dismantling of Shintoism as the Japanese national religion, where Allied powers believed (correctly) that serious democratic reforms could not be put into place as long as the Japanese people looked to an emperor as their ultimate authority, Islam must be forced to be renounce Mohammad as authority and prophet.

Harsh, but necessary. If that isn't feasible, then that leaves only one alternative. That one should be obvious.

Israeli incursions into Gaza would stop in a heartbeat if the rockets & the tunneling were abandoned, if Hamas relinquished its 27 year long filthy, Muslim Brotherhood inspired mission to wipe Israel off the map and focused on something besides murder and mayhem.

Given enough time and the build up of trust, the blockades in Gaza, which Hamas pretends are the main issue, would be lifted. (logically, Hamas b!tches about the blockades because it wants more ease of resupply of armaments)

Why doesn't "the world" or the UN or John Kerry ever say THAT ?
