Hamas Offers a Hudna

July 16th, 2014 - 7:14 am

According to Israel Channel 2 this morning (via the Jerusalem Post), Hamas is offering a hudna – temporary Islamic truce not to be confused with real peace — of ten years in return for a ceasefire, release of prisoners  (the “gentle folk” Israel released in the first place in return for kidnapped soldier Schalit and then rearrested when Hamas went berserk), opening of the Israel-Gaza border crossing (which hadn’t been entirely closed anyway) and international supervision of the Gaza naval blockade (so that Israelis presumably won’t notice the new missiles coming in — shall they charge a restocking fee?).

The poor dears are also upset they are being ganged up on by Israel and Egypt. They want negotiations handled by Turkey and Qatar. Never mind that Turkey’s Erdogan is sounding like Hitler Junior while appealing to the Islamic rabble on the campaign trail. Israel is supposed to accept him as an honest broker.

Well, since someone is apparently negotiating, how about this for a simple, bottom-line Israeli demand: remove all paragraphs about the destruction of Israel from the Hamas charter?

I know, I know, it’s asking a lot of those religious psychopaths from Hamas to give up on jihad murder for some nation building of their own (they have a helluva lot of prime oceanfront property despite what the reactionary Jon Stewart on The Daily Show would have us believe). But why not put it out there? Hudnas are nonsense that no one believes. Don’t pretend to make peace. Make peace.

But no, the Palestinians continue to live out the famous dictum of Golda Meir: “Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us.”

Meanwhile, Stewart, and others of his ilk, due to their overweening moral narcissism, continue to see the Palestinians as victims when they are only victims of themselves and their leaders.  If Hamas were to make real peace — not a hudna – as many have pointed out, they could turn Gaza into Singapore.  But they have chosen not to.

Israel will actually be doing the Palestinian people a favor if they destroy Hamas. But no one wants to see unnecessary bloodshed.  The Gazans would be smart to heed the following leaflet being dropped over them Wednesday morning:

From these areas, rocket fire is being launched against the State of Israel. For your safety, you are requested to leave your homes immediately and travel towards Gaza City by Wednesday at 8 a.m. The IDF does not wish to harm you or your families. Clear the area to safeguard your lives. Do not return to the area until further notice. Anyone who does not heed these instructions… endangers his life and that of his family.

Gaza City is apparently the safety zone — for now.

Courage is something you build.

And by the way today, for those with a conscience, we had our first fatality.
More than a thousand missiles have been fired at us.
Divine Intervention.

I live in Jerusalem. My children live in Jerusalem. My grandchildren live in Jerusalem. None of us would dream of living anywhere else. My daughter was an officer in the IDF at twenty years of age. I'm sure your daughter will be just fine.

There is a time for everything (Ecclesiastes) and that includes bombing Hamas and the so-called Palestinians into submission.

Victory. Victory. Nothing but victory.

How do you say "No terms except an unconditional and immediate surrender can be accepted. I propose to move immediately upon your works.” in Arabic?

" If Hamas were to make real peace – not a hudna – as many have pointed out, they could turn Gaza into Singapore. But they have chosen not to."

This is the common manifestation of religious, ideological and political extremism throughout history. It perverts and sucks all the energy out of its people. It cares not about creating conditions for a good life on this earth. It is only about a select group grabbing and wielding power in order to foist a dangerous belief system - one that people would shun if left to their own natural common sense - on everyone.

One last comment. This is directed to those for whom my comments may seem merciless.

There is a new free app developed by an Israeli teenager called Color Red Israel. It can be downloaded in english. It will advise as to where there are attacks. In the last hour there have been seven rocket attacks on Israel. Two in the last four minutes.

See for yourself.

We have a few too many precocious software developers that have written more code than can be assimilated by humanity's teeming masses. There was another app for reporting on kidnapping and kidnapping attempts, also. So much fun,..

Roger, Hamas is a nazi organization. They were elected to power by people who are nazis themselves. They murder any Jew they get their hands on. They teach their children that murdering Jews is a blessing. They use a mickey mouse to teach toddlers, before they can speak, that murder is good. This is not an enemy we can make peace with under any circumstances. And Roger, I feel no pity for them. Soon they will have no electricity to make bombs with. Soon they will have to drink seawater. Soon rockets will be falling on their heads.
They have had all this coming to them for a very long time.

On June 21, 2010 , her at PJM, I concluded a comment with the following-

" Hamas wants the Palestinians in Gaza to stay put. They are its hostage.

That is why true humanitarian relief for Gaza would be getting the people out, not the concrete in.

That concrete will bury every hope for freedom in Gaza."

If Obama loved freedom he would have backed the Iranian uprising instead of turning his back on it.

Because of this monumental failure we are at the brink of WW3 today.

I understand why Hamas wants this Hudna farce.
I don't understand why Israel would want to participate.

when in a war, with people that want you dead, you don't give truces to allow them to rearm and restock.

You beat them into submission where they sue for peace. Enough with those that are interfering in the process.

I posted this comment yesterday at wretched's last article ("seven gambit") and I'll do it here too (with a couple of additional comments):

Islam can't be completely eliminated (more's the pity) but it can be brought to heel in a given area *if* enough of its practitioners are killed in said area.

Here's just one more reason to sanction this (as if what we already know isn't enough):

"Much of Afghan culture is plagued by the persistence of the rape of children. One institution that persists in this realm is the practice of "bacha bazi" in which older men take on pre-pubescent male lovers. The U.S. State Department called this practice a “widespread, culturally sanctioned form of male rape.”

This from a news story of a 5 year-old boy being raped to death yesterday in the Afghan city of Herat.

FGM, beheadings, slaughterhouses for Christians in Syria, the perpetual quest for WMDs by Iran, the public butchering of Lee Rigby in the streets of London, 9/11, 7/7, ISIS savages now dominating 1/2 of Iraq, Iran being the largest state sponsor of terrorism on the planet...all perfectly fine in major parts of the Islamic world.

Muslim – the one who pulls the trigger
Moderate Muslim – the one who hands the Muslim the ammo
Reasonable Muslim – the ones cheering on the other two

Colonel Kurtz was right indeed. Kill 'em all.

"(the horror...the horror..) well, so long as that horror is eliminated as a threat to Israel, I'm fine with that. Export that horror to Gaza.

These people are true, hard-core savages.  They are nothing but dirt-worshippers. They *must* be killed in order for civilization to continue.

I have no problem whatsoever with Israel absolutely leveling Gaza, which they will not (pity, that) but they will at least put some serious hurt on this cockroach infestation.

Oh, BTW, did you folks know that, as of today, there have been 23,399 cases of *documented* Islamic acts of terrorism since 9/11/01?

Go here for the counter: http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/index.html

And visit these two sites for daily coverage for news of Islamic intrusion, barbarism, lawfare, and general lawlessness against the *civilized* world:

Peace will never come, the Arabs' four wives can make babies faster than they could go off to claim their 72 raisins.

I happy to report you are wrong. See David Goldman's column for more but the Jews have the highest reproductive rate in the area. And the highest immigration rate. Besides becoming an economic tech power, Israel is growing faster than anybody else. Augurs well long term.

"72 raisins"

Could be white grapes, a delicacy of the times, depending on your translation.

Either way, the surviving Tsarnaev brother has a hankering for the fun in Paradise to begin.
