Roger’s Rules

A Picture is Worth 1000 Words Dept.

January 20th, 2014 - 4:04 am

A friend sent me these two photos under the heading “It’s the little things.” Further commentary, I think, is unnecessary.

Here is your challenge. Find alternative photos of Bush ignoring or his military guard or even more rare, Obama showing respect. You MIGHT be able to find one of Obama but I doubt it. Your comment says a lot about you. Nuff said.

His opinion of the military is very well revealed by the salute he gives to the Marine guards when he comes off his helicopter. Some one apparently told him it would make him look good as Commander in Chief if he returned their salute, and he was coached in how to give a very technically correct one. But look at his body language in the myriad of film clips showing this ritual. Never once does he make eye contact or nod or acknowledge the military man standing guard, He flings his technically proper salute into the air while looking the other way. Compare this to Bush's often very casual "Air Guard" salute but with a consistent nod of greeting and acknowledgement of the individual guarding him, always with eye contact and often with a spoken word. This says volumes to me as a military retiree.

The Obama's use our military for background wall paper and holding umbrella's for our enemies. And of course, guarding the poppy fields in Afganistan.

I didn't like a lot about GW's policies, but I'd be honored to shake his hand.

He ain't perfect by a long way, but he's an American.

Cherry-picked photos say nothing about W or Obama but a great deal about Kimball, none of it positive.

These photos say all that needs to be said. And your comment says all we need to know about Patrick778.
Refute them with your own photos.
You elected the funny eared a**clown, at least acknowledge the truth about him.

Spot on, pyawakit! Those photos DO say a lot about W. and Obama. Patrick778's whiny comment says all one needs to know about him.

Yes, he got re-elected, but most PJ readers voted better. Too many stayed home, I fear.

Then it also, by proxy, says something about America in general. It's like that Lt Col in Iraq said: "We're at war; America is at the mall."

"We're at war; America's busy worrying about how Lena Dunham's putting the 'boob' in 'boob tube.'"
There, fixed it for the otherwise astute LTC.
