[VIDEO] Half-Naked ATV Driver Leads Police on High-Speed Interstate Chase in Ohio
Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers chased down an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) on an Akron, Ohio, interstate on Friday. Troopers from the Akron post spotted the ATV, which was traveling at a high rate of speed, on U.S. Rt. 224 and managed to safely stop the driver by boxing in the ATV with patrol cars. The police dashcam showed the driver speeding down the highway, weaving in and out of lanes in a construction zone before he was finally forced to stop.
But that wasn't the end of the story. While the passenger riding on the back of the ATV surrendered, the shirtless driver took off on foot. He was later caught and charged with fleeing the scene, eluding officers, and driving an ATV without an operator's license.
According to the State Highway Patrol, in Ohio, "it is illegal to ride an ATV on a limited access highway, freeway, or right-of-way."
