Much is made in the media about the various rifts in the Republican Party and the general discontent between the GOP and conservative voters. What is very under-reported is that there is almost as much, if not more, disarray among the Democrats. The progressive wing of the party — which is now the loudest wing — is still unhappy about what it feels was a rigged primary system that worked against Bernie Sanders. In theory, the DNC is trying to rectify that. Picking a name that only a liberal could love, the party has launched the “DNC Unity Commission” to bring the bickering factions together. Some in the party weren’t thrilled with the DNC’s transparency, and they managed to get into a meeting to express their displeasure.
