Senate Republicans Are Already Trying to Shore Up Support for Jeff Flake in Arizona

While challenging Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) in the 2016 Republican primary, Kelli Ward held a townhall meeting, funded by taxpayers, to discuss chemtrails. She also said McCain was directly responsible for the ISIS terror organization. Now, she's challenging Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), a frequent opponent of President Trump's not-so-Republican policies. And Trump mentioned her by name to draw support away from Flake (as a threat). So Senate Republican leadership decided they needed to go on the offensive to protect one of their own. They released this ad, painting her as "Chemtrail Kelli."
