Kamala Harris Dodges Questions About Whether Felons Should Remain in the Senate

One of the favorites for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), dodged a reporter’s questions on whether a felon should be allowed to remain in the U.S. Senate. Of course the journalist was alluding to the fact that Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) has been charged with accepting bribes. They’re trying to get a Democratic feud going. If Menendez were to be forced out, or were to resign, his successor would be chosen by Republican Governor Chris Christie. So that’s why they’re trying to pit the Dems against one another.
