Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece, Alveda King, countered Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) and told Fox News that President Trump “is leading the charge for civil rights” and is specifically standing up for a demographic that the Democratic so-called civil rights leaders won’t — the unborn. She said, “I say that everybody’s civil rights count from the womb to the tomb, the young, the old, the sick, the elderly, the babies in the womb, everything.” King also said that she’s seeing great signs of progress from the African-American outreach parts of the Trump administration, “the things for women in science, for African-American education, for moving into our communities with Dr. Ben Carson at HUD. There are so many things he’s doing and he’s working with African-American leaders.”
