Missouri’s Republican governor, Eric Greitens, is putting the media on notice, pointing out that they spread a “100 percent false” story, “actual fake news.” He says he called a special legislative session to protect his state’s pro-life pregnancy centers, and that somehow the press figured they were trying to ban birth control or make it permissible to discriminate against people based on their birth control usage. The media eventually not only had to publish retractions but actually had to admit that the bill did the opposite of what they were accusing it of. Greitens said, “Unfortunately, this happens too often. The liberal media will spread lies about conservatives.”
