Israel Comes to a Standstill to Remember Victims on Holocaust Remembrance Day
Here in the United States, there was some disturbing news about younger Americans and what they know about the Holocaust released on Holocaust Remembrance Day. Shame on us for not doing better for our younger generations.
In Israel, the six million lives lost during the Holocaust are poignantly and reverently remembered as the entire country stops what it is doing for two minutes while air-raid sirens blare. Cars pull over, people get out and stand still...this is incredibly moving.
