For the past few days, the liberal media has been running interference for Democrats, denying that left-wing protesters are “angry mobs” and accusing Republicans of “seizing” on the “Democrat mob” mantra for political gain. Is that a fair assessment?

Oh, you bet your sweet bippy it is. Democrats handed Republicans that talking point on a silver platter, and the Grand Old Party is making the most of it. They’d be crazy not to.

The RNC’s latest political ad, “The Left: An Unhinged Mob,” builds on a theme they’ve been pushing all year. It warns the public that left-wing Democrats are “unhinged,” “crazytown,” and not to be trusted holding the reins of power.

Interspersed with scenes of Democratic mob mayhem, the video features former Attorney General Eric Holder’s “when they go low, we kick them” dogwhistle; Rep. Maxine Waters’ infamous appeal to her supporters to harass Republicans at “restaurants, department stores, and gasoline stations”; House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s call for an “uprising all over the country”; Hillary Clinton’s message to Democrats that they can’t be civil to Republicans; and Senator Cory Booker’s plea for supporters to “get up in the face of some congresspeople.”

A Washington Free Beacon mash-up on the same theme shows Democrat mob violence interspersed with clips of media personalities saying that there is no Democrat mob violence. This video is longer and more raw, and showcases the left-wing media’s desperate attempts to deny the obvious.

As the Beacon notes, the dictionary definition of a “mob” is “a large and disorderly crowd of people.” This is actually a charitable description of what we’ve been seeing from Democrats all year.
