Tenured Fresno State Prof Who Bashed Barbara Bush in Trouble

Randa Jarrar is an English professor at Fresno State, apparently. She's also a nasty human being, based on her tweets after the death of Barbara Bush.

In a tweet now hidden behind a protected account, Jarrar wrote: "Barbara Bush was a generous and smart and amazing racist who, along with her husband, raised a war criminal. [Expletive] outta here with your nice words."

It seems this wasn't the only time Jarrar tweeted some questionable material.

Prior to her locking her account, The Daily Wire uncovered several tweets Jarrar sent out previously with racist and anti-Semitic sentiments. Jarrar, who is reportedly a Muslim, tweeted, "I can't wait for the old white guard of literary writers and 'critics' to die. Their time is f***ing up, too."

Also, according to The Daily Wire: "Perhaps the most problematic tweet from Jararr the administration must now address is one from last night in which she posted a phone number she claimed belonged to her but is actually the number to Arizona State's 24-Hour emergency crisis line."

Jarrar also told people she had tenure and couldn't be fired --but it doesn't look like Fresno State is just going to ignore Jarrar's antics. On Wednesday, university provost Lynnette Zelezny spoke at a press conference about her:

"Randa Jarrar, a Fresno State English professor, made deeply disrespectful statements on her personal Twitter account," Zelezny said. "Please know the university is taking this matter very seriously."

When asked specifically if Jarrar could or would be fired, Zelezny said only that the university "must follow certain specific procedures in addressing personnel matters."
