Seattle News Editor Allegedly Doctored Video of Trump's Speech to Make Him Look Orange and Crazy
See below for an update.
A Seattle news station has placed a video editor on leave after viewers complained that the station aired doctored footage of President Trump’s Tuesday night Oval Office speech that distorted Trump's face and made him appear bright orange:
The news director from Fox affiliate Q13 said that the station is conducting an "internal investigation" of the incident.
Seattle's conservative talk radio station 770KTTH performed a side-by-side comparison of the video in question with video of Trump’s speech that aired on CNN. A viewer had recorded the Q13 broadcast and sent it to 770KTTH:
That comparison reveals the Q13 video creating a loop of the President licking his lips -- making it seem bizarre and unbalanced -- it also seems that someone distorted the President’s face and my have added an orange tone to his skin.
In a statement, Q13 seemed to confirm that their video editor had intentionally altered the footage to make the president look crazy.
“We are investigating this to determine what happened,” said Q13’s news director. “This does not meet our editorial standards and we regret if it is seen as portraying the President in a negative light. The editor responsible for editing the footage is being placed on leave while we investigate further.”
