Professional Grievance Mob Going After Ellen for Supporting Kevin Hart

On Friday's episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," the wildly popular talk show host expressed support for her guest, comedian Kevin Hart, even suggesting that he still host the Oscars this year.

According to Entertainment Tonight, DeGeneres told Hart that she had been in touch with the head of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in order "to ask if they’d take him back." Apparently, the Academy still wants Hart to host, telling DeGeneres that "maybe he misunderstood" and that they "would be thrilled" to have Hart back.

Leaked news of the interview quickly flooded social media and, predictably, the outrage hordes were quickly mobilized:

Vice reports that there was "early backlash" to DeGeneres' endorsement and support of Hart. They also note that there were people who thought Ellen was "admirable and forgiving."

Others, however, were upset with what was viewed as an "attempt to speak for the LGBTQ community as a whole."
