Mexican Restaurant Blasted for Not Booting Jeff Sessions
Liberals are confusing. The only thing consistent in their beliefs is their inconsistency.
You see, in their minds, a bakery should be forced to bake a cake, even if it goes against their religious beliefs, but it's fine for a restaurant to refuse to serve the White House press secretary simply because she's the White House press secretary. It seems that in their minds, you can only refuse to serve people of a certain kind.
Now, to make matters more confusing, a Houston-area Mexican restaurant is under fire for not refusing to serve someone. In this case, Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
The restaurant, El Tiempo Cantina, says they were contacted by the Secret Service and told an administration official would be dining there --- but were not told who it was.
They posted a photo of Session on their Facebook page, which makes sense. Most restaurants like to share pictures of famous people who dine in their establishments. Why would El Tiempo be any different?
Unfortunately for them, this is 2018 and you're not allowed to put aside any political differences for the sake of capitalism.
The left was, of course, quick to attack.
As The Daily Caller reports, "Many people called for the restaurant, El Tiempo Cantina, to be boycotted, and others took to Yelp.com to give bad reviews."
El Tiempo took a step back and posted in a since-deleted post on Facebook,"The posting of a photograph of the Attorney General at one of our restaurants does not represent us supporting his positions." They added, "El Tiempo does not in anyway support the practice of separating children from parents or any other practices of the government relative to immigration."
The problem is, since when does a restaurant have to espouse a political opinion simply because they accepted money in exchange for food from a political figure?
Every day, I see the left doing everything they can to make it impossible to live in society unless you at least pay lip service to their ideology. You can't play neutral. You can't be willing to serve Jeff Sessions and Nancy Pelosi. You can't be willing to provide the same service to Sarah Huckabee Sanders as you would Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for the same money.
They're driving a wedge in between us. With each act like this, they're sending a warning to businesses. They're telling them that if they don't refuse service based on ideology, then the left will make it as difficult as possible to do business. They're trying to signal that anyone who treats conservatives as human beings deserves to be destroyed.
"That's a nice business you've got there. It would be a shame if something happened to it."
What they don't get is that this is a road they don't want to go down. If they don't back down at some point soon, it'll be too late and then all hell will be breaking loose and no one will win.
