Man Sets Himself on Fire Outside of White House

Secret Service agents have apprehended a man who lit himself on fire outside of the White House Friday afternoon. The White House was temporarily on lockdown as a result of the incident, the AP reported.

The man had lit his jacket on fire before the Secret Service intervened, according to multiple reports.

"A man lit his jacket on fire while on Pennsylvania Avenue Friday and is now getting first aid," Fox News reported.  Law enforcement officials told Fox that the North Lawn had been cleared.

Secret Service extinguished the fire and provided first aid to the suspect. He was then taken to the hospital for an evaluation, WFTL reported.

According to Fox News, the man was in a wheelchair scooter when he lit his jacket on fire, and seemed to have mental issues.
