LOL: Comey Laments Possible Role in Electing Trump

Make it stop:

Pathological attention seeker James Comey is at it again, this time with the most laughable of all the "why-Hillary-didn't-win" excuses that Democrats have been reflexively regurgitating since November of 2016.

Naturally, it was CNN that gave Comey the platform to unwittingly embarrass himself.

The HuffPost reports that CNN's Christiane Amanpour gave Comey a mea culpa opportunity by asking if he is "kept awake at night" thinking about his role in the Clinton email investigation and the fact that it may (spoiler alert: it didn't) have helped Trump win.

Comey replied that it did and said he would like to one day have his actions proven to be "irrelevant" in the election of Trump.

Rest assured Jimmy, you're safe.

The email investigation has become the go-to whipping boy for Democrats who want to avoid acknowledging that the Clinton campaign made grievous errors in where to focus their efforts, needed to test 85 different slogans to help sell a woman who had been in the public eye for a quarter of a century, and were running the most unlikable human being to ever seek office.

If anything, Comey helped Granny Maojackets because he didn't come down on her as hard as he should have. If he had, that may have truly had an impact on the race.

As it was, the disgruntled Rust Belt voters who voted Republican for the first time in their lives didn't do it because Hillary used a private server and got investigated for it. That's just a story the Democrats tell themselves.

This is no doubt a sore spot Comey would love to resolve. In almost all matters, Democrats and their MSM mouthpieces love Comey because he hates President Trump. As soon as they remember the email investigation, however, Comey becomes the devil.

If there is one thing we've learned from Comey's media ubiquity these past few years it's that Jimmy has a lot of feelings.

The thought that someone at CNN may still be upset with him is probably what really keeps him up at night.
