Impeachment Witness Pamela Karlan Insults Barron Trump for Some Reason

There's an unwritten rule in politics that the children of politicians are off-limits. You don't attack the president's kids, no matter how much you hate the president. Of course, as with most rules of politics, this only applies when the target is a Democrat. You could bash George W. Bush's daughters all day long for eight years, but you couldn't dare say anything about Sasha or Malia Obama. Back when Bill Clinton was president, Rush Limbaugh caused a national scandal by insulting the then-teenage Chelsea Clinton. But it's okay to insult the teenage child of a president who ran and won as a Republican. That's different.

Here's Pamela Karlan, one of the belligerent, hostile "constitutional experts" testifying in today's impeachment hearings, proving that libs don't care about their own rules:

Get it? Barron, Baron.

Okay, Prof. Karlan, you just made fun of a 13-year-old kid on live TV because you hate his dad. Congratulations, I guess? If that little boy didn't want to be humiliated on national television, he shouldn't have been born the son of the guy who kept Hillary out of the Oval Office.

You don't have to like Trump. I sure don't, and it drives his fans nuts whenever I dare to say so. But taking out your frustrations on a little kid is wrong. Pamela Karlan owes Barron Trump an apology.

Don't worry, though. This rule will be back in place the next time a Democrat gets elected president. I've already seen journos complaining that fact-checking Elizabeth Warren's claim about sending her kids to public schools -- which she did, until she sent them to private schools -- is an attack on her kids. Who are now middle-aged adults. And no matter what Hunter Biden does, none of our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters in the press think it has anything to do with his old man.

It's good to be a Dem. You can make and break all the rules you want.

P.S. Note to Karlan's defenders: She disagrees with you.
