Ilhan Omar: Why Aren't You Racists Yelling at George W. Bush about 9/11?
Well, Dear Reader, it looks like I owe Ilhan Omar an apology. I didn't really like her summation of the 9/11 attacks as "some people did something," but it turns out another politician was equally vague about it. And I didn't care about that, because I'm a racist!
Here's Rep. Omar to explain:
“The people — and the people who knocked these buildings down will hear all of us soon!” President George W. Bush
Was Bush downplaying the terrorist attack?
What if he was a Muslim 🤔 https://t.co/XMazssoD49

I wasn't convinced until she threw in the "thinking face" emoji.
You see, it's like this: When Omar said 9/11 was "some people did something," it was no different than Bush saying it was "the people who knocked these buildings down," a couple of days after it happened. They're the same thing, somehow. I guess because both statements have the word "people" in them? I'm not sure, because I'm not as brilliant as Ilhan Omar. But the point is that I didn't criticize Bush for saying that, because he's not a Muslim.
I apologize for thinking Omar was downplaying the events of 9/11. It's obvious she takes it very seriously indeed. I'm glad she's now defused the situation and accepted responsibility for her own words by trying to change the subject.
Remember: In any dispute between Muslims and non-Muslims, Muslims are always the victims. No matter what. Always, always, always.
Hang in there, Rep. Omar. And if you're still upset about people daring to criticize you? Hey, it's just some people doing something.
