The Definitive 10-Tweet Sampler of Reactions to James Comey's New Book

Former FBI Director James Comey reacts during a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing on Capitol Hill.

If you have been busy with things like work, a trip to your local amusement park, or any semblance of a real life, you may have missed the social media hubbub over the release of some excerpts from former FBI Director James Comey's new book, "A Higher Loyalty."

Depending on your feelings towards President Trump, the excerpts promise either a bombshell of a memoir that will cripple this presidency (just like Michael Wolff's "Fire and Fury" was supposed to four months ago) or a pettiness-filled journal that seems as if it were written by an adolescent who had just been turned down for prom.

Personally, I think Comey has morphed into a David Hogg for the older crowd -- perpetually emo and always ready with an essentially empty quip designed to stir up maximum liberal passion.

As the headline says, here is the definitive (so-called because I know no one will actually start composing other 10-tweet posts for comparison) short list of Twitter reactions from both sides.

1: One Honest Liberal

Remember, oh, about a year ago when Public Enemy Number 1 for the Granny Maojackets excuse-making crowd was James Comey? Sure, they blamed the Russians too, but it was Comey's thoroughly useless and weak letters that were supposed to have swung the election. For the most part, that's all been swept under the Democrats' "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" rug as of today.

Not for this guy though.

2: Hmmm...Wonder What The New York Times Thinks

Wow. It's super weird that The Grey Lady's official review would be excited about something that's anti-Trump.
