In the wake of President Trump’s announcement to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, anti-Semitic tweets calling for the extermination of America’s strongest allies in the Middle East have been posted to the social media platform Twitter — with some posts addressed directly to the president at his personal Twitter account @realDonaldTrump. Tweets also included calls for "death to America."

PJ Media uncovered the following tweets on the microblogging site:

Twitter gives users the ability to report tweets that are “abusive or harmful.” Furthermore, the platform allows users to detail reasons for the abusive and harmful nature of such tweets, including but not limited to posts that threaten “violence or physical harm,” direct “hate against a race, religion, gender, or orientation,” include “targeted harassment,” and posts that could be considered “disrespectful or offensive.”

As of this writing, the posts embedded here have not been removed. Also as of this writing, PJ Media terrorism expert and foreign policy reporter Bridget Johnson remains suspended from the social media platform for reasons yet to be given by the company.
