The most leftist pope in history is at it again:
“I have heard the President of the United States speak,” the pope said, responding to a question from a Mexican journalist about Trump’s decision. “He presents himself as a pro-life man. If he is a good pro-lifer, he should understand that the family is the cradle of life and you must defend its unity.”
That sounds like a great one-liner. Sadly, however, it doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. Being pro-life is about respecting a woman’s pregnancy and protecting the unborn baby. It is most definitely not about family “unity.”
According to the pope’s “logic,” pro-lifers can’t support sending a woman to prison who has just murdered ten people if she has a child. After all, doing so would “separate” her from her kids.
The pope was stunningly creative in crafting his tortured reasoning:
The Pope said he is especially worried about young people who become detached from their roots and lose hope in the future, even then choosing to commit suicide. “Young people today need to re-find their roots,” he said. “And anything that goes against this robs them of hope.”
Ah. So being pro-life means you’ve got to make sure that nobody undergoes any trauma that could contribute to losing “hope.” Anywhere. For whatever reason. Again, it follows that parents can’t be convicted of any crime, because doing so might separate them from their families, and that could cause the kids to commit suicide.
If that doesn’t make sense to you, don’t worry. There’s nothing wrong with you. It’s the pope who has lost it. You’d perhaps blame it on his recent accident, but I’m afraid that Francis actually truly believes this nonsense. He is not only a Marxist, but a politically correct extremist to boot. Small wonder that he confuses being pro-life with supporting open borders.
It’s a shame that he speaks for the entire Catholic Church.
