Steve Bannon Called Paul Ryan a Really Nasty Name...But Who Cares?

Shocking:

White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon has an intense dislike of Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wisc.

Reportedly, Bannon once described the Speaker of the House as “a limp-d*ck motherf*cker who was born in a petri dish at the Heritage Foundation,” referring to the influential conservative think tank that recently ousted conservative Jim DeMint as its president.

The quote attributed to Bannon comes from a new book by Joshua Green, senior national correspondent at Bloomberg Businessweek. In “Devil’s Bargain,” Green documents President Donald Trump’s political rise and his relationship with his controversial chief strategist.

Although it’s not exactly a Christian conservative way of describing anyone, let alone a fellow Republican, I don’t see what the shocking part of this news is exactly. Bannon was angry with Ryan because rumors were flying that Ryan and his fellow Republican elites were trying to stage a coup during the Republican National Convention. They were going to stop Trump… so he could be replaced by Ryan, the speaker of the House. It’s not exactly surprising that this angered Bannon and other Trump associates.

Additionally, it’s not exactly news that Bannon has a potty mouth. Everybody who’s spoken to him can tell you that he’s inclined to use rather… colorful language to express himself. And no, that doesn’t make him an exception in political circles. Those guys and gals are extremely polite when they’re in front of a camera, but I can tell you from personal experience that they’re rude and uncivil when the cameras are switched off. To be shocked by that is rather… naive. Or hypocritical.
