Navy Vet's House Torched in Florida, Vandalized with Anti-Trump Graffiti

A Navy veteran’s house in Plant City, Florida, was torched and vandalized with anti-Trump graffiti Monday night while the family was spending the night with relatives.

Matthew Smith told Fox 13 News that his home was targeted because he is a Donald Trump supporter.

“It’s not what I expected out of America,” says Smith. “It should be us figuring problems out together.”

Smith flies three flags in front of his house: the American flag, the POW flag, and the Navy flag.

“We supported Trump from when he started running for office,” says Matthew’s wife Brittany. “We never made it public. We never had a sign in our backyard, so no one really knew we were pro Trump.”

But Matthew says he’s been very active on Facebook, with posts supporting Trump, the Second Amendment, and other conservative causes.

Investigators are looking into possible connections with anti-Trump graffiti that was sprayed on two mobile homes near Mango, Florida, earlier this month.  One of those homes was set on fire, too.

The Smiths, who have two young children, say times have been hard recently. They say their home is in foreclosure and they have no insurance to cover the belongings that burned. Brittany says it doesn’t make sense to her.

“We were always nice to everyone,” she said. “It’s very odd, very odd.”

Odder still — the the media continues to push a false narrative that hundreds of hate crimes are being committed by Trump supporters, even though there’s very little evidence to support the claims. Indeed, based on verifiable evidence, the exact opposite seems to be happening.

PJ Media chronicled eleven cases of actual assaults on Trump supporters since the election, here and here.

Also very odd, a teacher in San Antonio allowed high school kids to stage a mock assassination of Donald Trump in the classroom. The San Francisco teachers’ union offered an anti-Trump lesson plan for schoolchildren. And Southern Methodist University disinvited the daughter of a fallen Dallas police officer to hit the honorary first serve in a volleyball game because in light of the election of Donald Trump, her presence was somehow deemed “insensitive.”

The left is not taking the election of Donald Trump very well at all.

When Republicans lose elections, they look inward and try to assess what they did wrong. When Democrats lose, they double down on their mistakes, blame their loss on poor messaging, and demonize the people who didn’t vote for them. In too many cases, their minions are taking it to the next level with vandalism, arson, and physical attacks.
