Last Wednesday, a dance teacher at a PreK-12 charter school in South Florida hosted a sex-themed birthday party — complete with all kinds of sex toys — for a male student. She has since been fired, although parents reported their kids were traumatized.

The party celebrated a young man's birthday. When he entered the room, the teacher gave him a hat with a penis on top, complete with a string that made the male organ erect when pulled.

The party — at Mater Lakes Academy in Hialeah, Fla. — included various sex toys: rubber penises, penis candles, penis hats, and more.

"There was a cake that had a lollipop shaped as a vagina," a mother of one young female student told WSVN TV. The mother, who wished to remain anonymous because she's a Miami-Dade County school teacher, referenced videos showing the explicit event.

"In the videos, we see how they were preparing for the surprise party," the mother said. "And as the boy walked in, they surprised him with a hat that had a penis attached to the top and a string to be able to pull it so it can get erected."

The anonymous mother added, "You can't even imagine. You know, I've raised my daughter the proper way and never taught her anything similar to that."

But her daughter was traumatized, the anonymous teacher said. "She couldn't sleep last night. She woke up crying," the mother testified. "It hurts that she's being taught this at the school where I trust she's gonna be taken care of."

The party involved students as young as 11 years old. Mater Lakes Academy told 7News the dance teacher has been fired, but it would not reveal who brought in the sex toys.

"The number one priority is the safety and well-being of our students and faculty," the school administrators said in a statement. "Once we became aware of the situation, we addressed it immediately and have taken the appropriate measures and the individual has been dismissed."

Even so, the anonymous mother insisted the damage has already been done. "Whatever happened is a scar that's already there," she said. "You can't undo what happened."

While sex toy parties for 11-year-old kids are far from mainstream, the sexualization of children at earlier and earlier ages seems to be proceeding apace. In July, Teen Vogue published a "how-to" article encouraging anal sex. Conservative commentator Matt Walsh warned at TheBlaze, "The left wants to turn your child into a sexual deviant."

Also in July, a video of parents teaching their young children to masturbate went viral on YouTube. Parents have protested "graphic" sex ed classes for their kids. Bill Nye's Netflix show featured a segment encouraging all sorts of sexual deviance. Oregon has an official sex guide for teens, written by teens. Last December, National Geographic put a nine-year-old transgender girl on the cover of a magazine marketed to children.
