I don’t know what this reporter expected 4-year-old Andrew Macias to say when she asked him about his first day of pre-K, but I’m guessing she wasn’t prepared for the reaction she received. The first day of school is often filled with mixed emotions for children. They’re excited about the new venture, but sometimes apprehensive about being away from home for the first time.
Sweet little Andrew at first said “No” when KTLA reporter Courtney Friel asked him, “Are you going to miss your mom?” But then his bravado crumbled and the adorable little guy burst into tears.
Fortunately, Andrew’s mom was standing nearby and she was able to offer a hug and some reassurance before sending him off to his first day of school.
