It's Apple Season! Delicious Recipes to Get You Started on Your Fall Celebration

Fall is my favorite time of year.

The smell of warm spices filling my house from various burning candles is an excuse to have dessert with every meal, because it is prime apple season!

Here are some recipes to get you started on your own fall apple celebration.

Ambrosia, Envy, McIntosh, Braeburn, Fuji: so many varieties to choose from. I am often overwhelmed when I go to the grocery to try a new apple, only to get cold feet and pick out a variety I’m familiar with. This video shows the main varieties and tells what each one is good for.

Because I’m a New England girl at heart, here’s my favorite recipe for apple cider donuts. They are a good substitute for the real thing, just in case you can’t make a trip up northeast. Also, they bake up well in a mini-muffin tin, if you need to avoid frying them.
