We all celebrated July 4th, but many people don’t know the importance of September 17th in the history of our nation. September 17, 1787 is the day that 39 men signed a document altering the course of human history. That document is the Constitution of the United States of America.

The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is a wonderful resource for anything and everything related to the Constitution. It’s the best place to start.
Should you be in the Philadelphia area for Constitution Day, the Independence National Historical Park is definitely worth visiting. You can see the very room where the Constitution was signed.
