Readers, thank you all so much for joining us! If you missed anything, here's my recap of the most powerful and inspiring speeches of the night.
I keep thinking the @GOPConvention #RNC2020 can't get any better, and then it proves me wrong. Tera Myers, @LaraLeaTrump, @JackBrewerBSI, @iguangcheng, @CawthornforNC, and of course @VP Mike Pence proved particularly inspiring. Read my recap here. https://t.co/BlEGurq2G1

Have Americans ever seen a major address delivered from Fort McHenry? I can't recall any. That's a shame, as it's the birthplace of the National Anthem. It's also in Baltimore, which could be and should be so much more than it is. We should see more of the city and the fort that once defended it.
Some in the media-left have attacked the National Anthem during the riots and unrest.
The RNC chose its birthplace for the vice president's national address. It's another inspired choice that speaks to all Americans who love this country.
As for Baltimore, it has everything going for it. Amazing history, beautiful architecture, great food and traditions, and some giants of history and the present including Babe Ruth, Edgar Allen Poe, and Dr. Ben Carson. But Baltimore is a crime-infested hellhole. Democrats have run the city forever and they've run it into the ground.
