'Smallville' Star Allison Mack Chases Police Car Carrying Alleged Sex-Cult Leader Keith Raniere
"Smallville" actress Allison Mack chased after a police car carrying alleged sex-cult leader Keith Raniere as he was arrested in Mexico on Monday, cell phone video footage reveals.
Mack, who starred alongside Kristin Kreuk in the Superman prequel TV show for ten years, later joined her in Raniere's sex cult, where the two became recruiters. Kreuk played Clark Kent's brunette love interest Lana Lang, and Mack played the blonde in love with Kent, Chloe Sullivan.
Raniere was arrested Monday in his $10,000-a-week Mexican villa, charged by federal prosecutors with running a violent sex-slave cult called NXIVM.
Kreuk signed up, but got out before female acolytes began getting forcibly branded with cauterizing pens, the New York Post reported. She joined the group "sometime around late 2005, early 2006," Frank Parlato, who first broke the story in June, explained. She brought Mack into the group, who worked as a publicist for the sex cult in 2007 and 2008.
Kreuk got out in 2012, but Mack remained, even chasing after the police car following Raniere's arrest.
