How My Younger Brother Punked Me This April Fool's Day

After reading this on Facebook I called my brother, intending to console him and push him to find better friends:

But his consoles were fine! (And of course the classic, 8-bit, family Nintendo, first acquired as my “big brother present” when he was born, was safely at home in the parents’ basement as I knew it was.)

I’d so quickly shifted into Big Brother mode that I forgot today’s pseudo-holiday.

I was relieved, and glad to get to catch up with “Jeremac” who was his usual cheery, upbeat self. One thing I told him about was the new Liberty Island site — a venue that could be good for the humorous short stories he writes from time to time…
