TEACH WOMEN NOT TO RAPE! (CONT’D): 22-Year-Old Woman Facing Sexual Assault Charges for Relationship with 18-Year-Old Male Student. “A 22-year-old student-teacher in West Hartford, Connecticut, has been arrested for having a sexual relationship with an 18-year-old male student at the school. Tayler Boncal, who was 21 at the time, was charged with three counts of second-degree sexual assault, even though she was engaged in a consensual relationship with her purported victim. In fact, the 18-year-old’s parents said their son and Boncal are in love, and asked the prosecutor to drop the charges, according to WTIC TV. Despite the fact that the age difference between the two is just three years, the relationship consensual—the victim initiated it, according to the arrest warrant—and neither party is a minor, this is considered a crime because Boncal held a position of authority at the school.”

See what Catharine MacKinnon — recently spotted taking a victory lap in the NYT — and Andrea Dworkin have wrought? Of course, this was only supposed to happen to icky men.

50 YEARS OF WAGING WAR AGAINST THE VERY IDEA, AND NOW. . . . America Needs More Gentlemen:

All the stories we’ve read the past few months about predators—not those accused of rape and sexual assault, which are crimes, but of general piggishness, grabbiness, manipulation and power games—have a common thread. The men involved were not gentlemen. They acted as if they’d never heard of the concept.

We have lost track of it. In the past 40 years, in the movement for full equality, we threw it over the side. But we should rescue that old and helpful way of being. The whole culture, especially women, needs The Gentleman back.

A person of the cultural left would say that is a hopelessly patriarchal thing to say. But one thing the #MeToo movement illustrates is that women are often at particular risk in the world, and need friends and allies to stand with them. That would be men. And the most reliable of them are gentlemen. . . .

David Gandy, a fashion model, wrote a few years ago in London’s Telegraph that his work had taught him “being a gentleman isn’t about what you do or what you wear, it’s about how you behave and who you are.” A gentleman “holds chivalry and politeness in great regard. He holds the door for people; he gives up his seat; he takes off his coat to a lady on a cold evening.” These are old-fashioned actions, but a gentleman still holds to them “even though the world has changed.”

Yes, a gentleman does.

A man once told me it’s hard to be a gentleman when fewer of the women around you seem interested in being ladies. But that’s when you should step up your gentleman game. We are all here to teach and inspire.

I know I keep saying this, but the thing about chivalry is, it’s a system. It’s not just a bunch of rules for men that are designed to benefit women. It’s an entire social approach that lays expectations on women too. Overthrowing those very expectations was at the core of the feminist project. And now the response to the consequences thereof is that . . . men should try harder?

To be fair, that’s the response to pretty much all gender issues these days. Which is also part of the problem.

TEACH WOMEN NOT TO LIE ABOUT RAPE: Rodney Anderson latest example of #MeToo movement gone too far.

While I was skeptical of the allegations, it’s not popular in 2017 to defend someone accused of rape. Facts be damned. So I would typically stumble through a couple of sentences and say something along the lines of, “Yea, it’s definitely not good. I guess we will have to see what happens exactly.” . . .

That was as far as I could go to defend Anderson, even though I wasn’t buying the accusations at the time.

Unfortunately, an allegation is now a guilty verdict in the public eye. That’s where we’ve gone too far in the other direction.

The news of Anderson’s rape accusation shocked the college football world, but notice the fact that charges were never filed, the accuser dropped her victim protection order, and then the latest report that she was allegedly doing this for a future political career did not gain nearly the attention that the initial accusation did.

NO one in my media circles have asked me about the story since the actual FACTS have come out and the story has unfolded as it did. No one littered me with questions about Cleveland County district attorney Greg Mashburn saying, “Definitely charges are not warranted under these circumstances.” No one asked me about Anderson passing a three-hour long polygraph test.

No one asked me about this latest report in The Oklahoman, which included the following:

One friend told police Thornton had said “this would be a ‘great thing’ for her political career following the Air Force,” The Oklahoman has learned. The friend told police Thornton had said “female-empowered political organizations would love something like this.”

That’s sick. Frankly, it’s just as sick as someone committing an act of sexual misconduct. Both people are trying to ruin someone else’s life.

There should be jail for false accusations.

TEACH WOMEN NOT TO LIE ABOUT RAPE: Accused man who went through “mental torture”: “I feel betrayed by the system which I had believed would do the right thing.”

Liam Allan, 22, spent almost two years on bail and three days in the dock at Croydon crown court before his trial was halted yesterday.

The judge demanded a review of disclosure of evidence by the Metropolitan Police, Britain’s biggest force, and called for an inquiry at the “very highest level” of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). He warned of the risks of “serious miscarriages of justice” after hearing that, to save costs, material was not always handed to defence lawyers.

Mr Allan, a criminology undergraduate at Greenwich University, had been warned that he would be jailed for at least ten years if found guilty after being charged with six rapes and six sexual assaults against a woman who told police that she does not enjoy sex. Mr Allan said the sex was consensual and that the woman was acting maliciously because he would not see her again after he started university.

His lawyers had repeatedly been refused access to records from the woman’s telephone because police insisted that there was nothing of interest for the prosecution or defence, the court was told.

When a new prosecution barrister took over the case the day before the start of the trial, he ordered police to hand over any telephone records. It was revealed that they had a computer disk containing copies of 40,000 messages.

They showed that she continued to pester Mr Allan for “casual sex”, told friends how much she enjoyed it with him and discussed her fantasies of being raped and having violent sex. . . .

Julia Smart, for the defence, said she received the details of the woman’s text messages on the evening before she was due to cross-examine her, so stayed up reading them. When she told the court what she had found, the trial was halted. She said she believed that evidence from phones was being withheld from defence lawyers to save money.

Alison Saunders, the director of public prosecutions, has pushed to increase the prosecution and conviction of sexual offences.

It wasn’t about saving money, and people should be jailed for this.

TEACH WOMEN NOT TO STALK AND MAKE UP PHONY RAPE ALLEGATIONS: Professor Accused Of Stalking And Making Up Phony Rape Allegations Against Firefighters.

A former Northern Arizona University professor is facing federal charges for allegedly stalking and making up false rape allegations against firefighters. As AZ Central shares, 36-year-old Melissa Ann Santana is being charged with stalking or making false statements against at least 11 people.

Santana was an associate professor of interior design at the time of the incidents, which ranged from Feb. 1, 2015 to Sept. 22, 2017. She allegedly sent threatening messages to three crew members (including that they “go die” at their next fire), an NAU student and more, per the federal complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Coconino County last month.

Some victims met her online and others were family members of men she knew. At least one of her male victims said that he had a relationship with her that had ended. He claims that his car was vandalized and he received several negative texts after their affair ended. Some victims said she stalked them on social media or Tinder. One alleges that she started a “smear campaign” against him, falsely posting that he has sexually transmitted diseases.

Santana, who is married, also allegedly sent false allegations against firefighters by email or text to their supervisors, stating that they had sex with an underage, 15-year-old girl.

The victims say that she harassed them using different identities, email-addresses, social-media accounts and temporary phone numbers. Authorities reportedly traced the accounts to her through search warrants of her phone and electronic communications.

QUESTION ASKED AND ANSWERED, OR THE ESPY FOR THE MOTHER OF THE YEAR GOES TO…

I’ve never been what anyone would call an athletic person. I grew up dancing ballet, but I was determined to encourage my own kids to play sports. The last thing I wanted was for my kids to experience the exquisite torture of being picked last in P.E. or struggle to keep up with their peers who played sports like I had. I wanted my kids to grow up secure in their abilities, and to benefit from being a part of a team. Despite my enthusiasm, it didn’t take long for my oldest son to put the brakes on my athletic aspirations. He dabbled in everything from T-ball to soccer before steadfastly refusing to try another sport.

Not every child will grow up to be the next Russell Wilson, but most kids benefit from playing a sport and being a part of a team. So what’s a parent to do when you know sports can be a great confidence and friendship builder, but your kids want nothing to do with them?

Stop talking and start listening

“When parents listen to their kids, what they find is that the children who don’t like sports had some sort of a bad experience,” said Dr. Kyle Pruett, a professor of psychiatry at Yale University and an executive board member of The Goddard School. “The sport was too competitive, the coach was mean, or they felt that they didn’t have the skills necessary to succeed at that sport. If parents just push and push, all that will do is create negative energy that will then be pushed back on them in the future.”

—“Sports for kids who hate sports,” Jody Allard, ESPN.com, June 23rd.

And speaking of creating negative energy, the “stop talking” part sounds like excellent advice in this case:

I wrote an essay in The Washington Post last year, during the height of the Brock Turner case, about my sons and rape culture. I didn’t think it would be controversial when I wrote it; I was sure most parents grappled with raising sons in the midst of rape culture. The struggle I wrote about was universal, I thought, but I was wrong. My essay went semi-viral, and for the first time my sons encountered my words about them on their friends’ phones, their teachers’ computers, and even overheard them discussed by strangers on a crowded metro bus. It was one thing to agree to be written about in relative obscurity, and quite another thing to have my words intrude on their daily lives.

One of my sons was hurt by my words, although he’s never told me so. He doesn’t understand why I lumped him and his brother together in my essay. He sees himself as the “good” one, the one who is sensitive and thoughtful, and who listens instead of reacts. He doesn’t understand that even quiet misogyny is misogyny, and that not all sexists sound like Twitter trolls. He is angry at me now, although he won’t admit that either, and his anger led him to conservative websites and YouTube channels; places where he can surround himself with righteous indignation against feminists, and tell himself it’s ungrateful women like me who are the problem.

I know I’m not supposed to cast an entire sex with a single paint brush — not all men, I’m sure some readers are thinking and preparing to type or tweet. But if it’s impossible for a white person to grow up without adopting racist ideas, simply because of the environment in which they live, how can I expect men not to subconsciously absorb at least some degree of sexism? White people aren’t safe, and men aren’t safe, no matter how much I’d like to assure myself that these things aren’t true.

In February, then-18-year-old Yovino was charged with falsely reporting an incident and tampering with or fabricating evidence.

Police alleged Yovino made up the rape story last October to gain the sympathy of a prospective boyfriend because she worried he would lose romantic interest in her when it became known she had sex with two football players in a bathroom during an off-campus party.

The players told police they had consensual sex with Yovino and were eventually cleared in the case. . . .

Other students who were at the party later confirmed to police that Yovino was seen following the two men into the bathroom willingly.

Another witness said he overheard Yovino telling the men she wanted to have sex with them, according to an affidavit.

When pressed by police about the inconsistences in her story, Yovino allegedly confessed, saying she had made up the rape allegations.

The affidavit stated: ‘She admitted that she made up the allegation of sexual assault against (the football players) because it was the first thing that came to mind and she didn’t want to lose (another male student) as a friend and potential boyfriend.

‘She stated that she believed when (the other male student) heard the allegation it would make him angry and sympathetic to her.’

TEACH WOMEN NOT TO RAPE:

Let’s make a few important points here:

These are allegations, and Camryn Zelinger is to be presumed innocent unless and until she is convicted in a court of law; however,

Feminists never extend this presumption of innocence to any male college student accused of sexual misconduct;

We do not know whether Camryn Zelinger is lesbian or bisexual, and this allegation that she molested a 14-year-old girl cannot be used to generalize about about gay teachers as potential predators; however,

Feminists routinely exploit stories about rape to make negative generalizations about heterosexual men as dangerous predators; and therefore

No feminist will ever take notice of news reports about allegations of predatory sexual behavior by women, especially when teenage girls are molested by female teachers.

Feminism succeeds because so many journalists go along with this ideologically imposed double standard, where sex crimes committed by men are accepted as evidence of “rape culture,” but no one is permitted to make inferences from the crimes of female sex offenders.

And that’s why I run this series.

Speaking about Hylton, New York City Detective William Spurling told Psychology Today: “I couldn’t believe this girl who was so intelligent and nice-looking could be so unemotional about what she was telling me she and her friends had done. They’d squeezed the victim’s testicles with a pair of pliers, beat him, burned him.”

According to that same article, Hylton delivered a ransom note to a friend of Vigliarole’s asking for more than $400,000, even though the victim was already dead by that point.

TEACH WOMEN NOT TO RAPE! (CONT’D): Police: Teacher accused of sex acts with student fled country.

Police said Ekatherine Pappas, 24, of Nottingham, started teaching Spanish at the school on Nov. 16.

A school resource officer became aware Thursday of a video showing a female teacher engaged in a sex act with a male student, police said.

“He came across a student who actually had a copy of the video on their phone,” Baltimore County police Officer Jennifer Peach said.

Detectives confirmed the existence of the video and the teacher’s involvement in sex acts with the 16-year-old student on two occasions, once on Dec. 21 and again on Dec. 22. The incidents were not committed on school property, police said.

“As a teacher, she should’ve known that she’s not allowed to have any kind of a relationship with a student, and secondly a sexual relationship is an unlawful relationship between her age and a 16-year-old child,” Peach said.

TEACH WOMEN NOT TO RAPE! (CONT’D): Davie County High School teacher charged with sexual activity with a student.

Jessica Welch Greene, 27, of Mocksville, is charged with three counts of sexual activity with a student.

On Dec. 2, the sheriff’s office received a report from the Davie County School System regarding a possible inappropriate relationship between a teacher and a student, Hartman said.

The sheriff’s office began an investigation with the assistance of the school system, ultimately leading to Greene being charged on Tuesday.

The school system said in a statement they first learned of the allegations of misconduct on Dec. 1.

Greene was suspended on Dec. 2 and was later suspended without pay on Monday, the school system said.

Greene is accused of having sexual conduct with the student both on and off campus between Nov. 1 and the first week of December, Hartman said.

TEACH WOMEN NOT TO RAPE! The Understudied Female Sexual Predator: According to new research, sexual victimization by women is more common than gender stereotypes would suggest.

Today, the fruits of that research were published in another peer-reviewed paper, “Sexual Victimization Perpetrated by Women: Federal Data Reveal Surprising Prevalence.” Co-authored with Andrew Flores and Ilan Meyer, it appears in Aggression and Violent Behavior. Once again, federal survey data challenged conventional wisdom.

“These surveys have reached many tens of thousands of people, and each has shown internally consistent results over time,” the authors note. “We therefore believe that this article provides more definitive estimates about the prevalence of female sexual perpetration than has been provided in the literature to date. Taken as a whole, the reports we examine document surprisingly significant prevalence of female-perpetrated sexual victimization, mostly against men and occasionally against women.”

Those conclusions are grounded in striking numbers. . . .

The authors also note a 2011 survey of 302 male college students. It found that 51.2 percent reported “at least one sexual victimization experience since age 16.”

About half of the victims reported a female perpetrator.

As well, “a 2014 study of 284 men and boys in college and high school found that 43 percent reported being sexually coerced, with the majority of coercive incidents resulting in unwanted sexual intercourse. Of them, 95 percent reported only female perpetrators. The authors defined sexual coercion broadly, including verbal pressure such as nagging and begging, which, the authors acknowledge, increases prevalence dramatically.”

And “a 2012 study using data from the U. S. Census Bureau’s nationally representative National Epidemiologic Survey on Alcohol and Related Conditions found in a sample of 43,000 adults little difference in the sex of self-reported sexual perpetrators. Of those who affirmed that they had ‘ever forced someone to have sex with you against their will,’ 43.6 percent were female and 56.4 percent were male.”

Finally, there is reason to fear that abuse by female perpetrators is under-reported.

The Insta-Wife has long believed this based on her clinical experience.

Meanwhile, if rape is something that people do, rather than something that men do, whole ideologies are in danger of collapse. I had a column on this phenomenon a couple of years ago.
