ROBERT REDFORD GRIPES ABOUT POLITICAL INCIVILITY … NOW?

“What is going to happen with America? That is a good question that I don’t have an immediate answer to, only that I am worried. I think we’ve lost civility. I think we’ve lost a certain degree of passion. I think passion unfortunately is directed into negative areas. I think it would be nice if we could switch back to positive areas. There’s a lot to be positive about. We’re very lucky to be in this country considering where the world is.”

Dude. You made a film three years ago praising the Weather Underground, and while promoting it, after fellow Democrat George Stephanopoulos threw you a lifeline during an interview and asked if you were still sympathetic to their cause, “Even when you read about bombings,” you still gushed, “All of it. I knew that it was extreme and I guess movements have to be extreme to some degree.”

Oooohkaaaaay. But you don’t get to play the civility card after you’ve praised a group of terrorists who killed cops, firebombed judges’ homes, and bombed the Pentagon.
