[WATCH] An Inspiring Call for Reconciliation on MLK Day by Christian-Jewish a Cappella Groups

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, two a cappella groups joined forces to deliver a powerful rendition of James Taylor’s popular song “Shed a Little Light.”

Naturally 7, a Christian singing sensation with all African-American singers, teamed up with the Orthodox Jewish band The Maccabeats, which first started as an on-campus student group at Yeshiva University in New York City.

The video shows the two groups coming together in front of the Lincoln Memorial and later the new Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial in Washington, D.C. The backdrop, in front of the Lincoln Memorial, was the same location King delivered his famous 1963 “I Have a Dream” speech.

In light of racial tensions in the U.S. for the last year and a half, it’s inspiring to see the two groups work to come together on such a heartwarming project.
