Election 2020

Social Media Reactions to the Sex Scandal Showdown

10:45 p.m.

Final reactions: Trump did surprisingly well, which might stem the bleeding from the recent clip. His hits against Clinton really landed home, but he did not prevail overall on substance.

Neither candidate really won, as in the first debate. Most likely Clinton will be remembered as the winner, but a tattered winner at best.

One thing is certain: No one will want to watch these debates for fun in the future.

10:40 p.m.

Yes, they each praised something about the other one.

This is what happened in their heads.

10:33 p.m.

Trump is looking for another Antonin Scalia.

And Hillary’s Supreme Court answers are legitimately scary.

The best argument for Donald Trump?

10:28 p.m.

Did anyone win tonight?

Vote in the poll.

On the Supreme Court…

10:25 p.m.

Trump is responsible for bullying in schools now, apparently.

How about the clown phenomenon?

And this puts all of Clinton’s “children will listen” into perspective.

10:20 p.m.

Yes, this did really happen.

I’m straight out of economics.

And Evan McMullin is correct…

10:15 p.m.

Moderators fair and balanced?

Why is Clinton even there?

Hostile moderator!

10:12 p.m.

And just when you thought it couldn’t get uglier

He apologized.

Moderator also cuts Trump off, again.

Did this seriously just happen?

10:08 p.m.

Clinton “talks tough about Russia,” but what happened after the “Reset” again?

Here’s M. Zuhdi Jasser calling her out on it.

10:04 p.m.

I thought Anderson was fair there.

Then again…

One more.

“Mr. Trump, we’re going to move on.” I trust Anderson more than her…

Next Page: My opponent is a liar and cannot be trusted.

10:00 p.m.

Hillary: “Everything you’ve heard from Donald is not true.”

Here’s the video.

Oh, my!

9:57 p.m.

Yes, Hillary beat Trump on Russia. I still don’t trust either one.

Here’s what he should have said.

Yet another good point:

9:54 p.m.

Strong answer by Hillary, but the Lincoln reference was a bridge too far.

Here it is:

Here’s Lincoln’s response.

Next Page: A patriotic Muslim’s view of Hillary Clinton.

9:49 p.m.

Bigger threat: radical Islamic terror or Islamophobia?

Once again, Trump on Obamacare was very solid.

And yet…

Invading her “safe space”?

9:45 p.m.

Clinton wants Muslims to be our eyes and ears on terror.

Here’s what a patriotic Muslim thinks of her saying “radical Islamic terror” is “demagogic.”

Here’s his view of Hillary Clinton.

9:41 p.m.

Yes, Trump did actually talk articulately about Obamacare.

And here’s that “because you’d be in jail” line once again. Perfect.

Liberal pundit also thinks Hillary messed up on Obamacare.

Trump hitting on media bias.

What Clinton means by “fixing” Obamacare.

And yet…

9:34 p.m.

Here’s what people really think of the debate.

And the guy who should be on that stage.

It’s like the Twilight Zone.

9:30 p.m.

Half an hour in, we already have:

And the emails.

Oh yes, the Devil too.

Next Page: Trump’s killer repartee.

9:28 p.m.

Trump’s repartee is killer in this debate.

Hillary does not know what to do.

Here’s an explanation.

This will be remembered.

9:25 p.m.

Hillary pivots.

Trump punches hard.

Is Clinton the devil?

9:20 p.m.

So it begins.

Here’s one pundit for Trump.

And a Christian leader against him.

Two different views of the Trump tape responses.

Here’s what he said, twice.

9:15 p.m.

Trump refuses to answer the question on sexual assault, switches to ISIS.

Here’s Russell Moore on that.

Some have a different view, however.

9:12 p.m.

And here it comes, the onslaught on Trump.

“This was locker room talk.”

Next Page: Bill Clinton welcomes the Trumps at the debate.

9:06 p.m.

Bill Clinton welcomes the Trumps, after the news conference with women who accused him of sexual assault.

Perfect Princess Bride quote as the debate starts.

Is Trump already losing the debate?

9:01 p.m.

The deplorables are on it.

And Clinton is hitting the female angle once again.

And don’t forget our very own VodkaPundit’s coverage right here:

8:57 p.m.

The second presidential debate begins at 9 p.m. tonight, and it is already shaping up to be quite a doozy. Infamously, footage from 2005 leaked showing Republican nominee Donald Trump speaking about sleeping with women, saying that he could “grab ’em by the p***y.” In the hours before the debate, Trump held a press conference with women who have accused former President Bill Clinton of sexually abusing them.

In short, the second debate looks likely to be a sex scandal showdown, focused less on policy and more on, well, something else that begins with p.

This likely is how moderator Anderson Cooper feels right now.
