Donald Trump will participate in a reddit AMA on Wednesday during the Democratic National Convention, his campaign announced on Monday.

The Republican party’s nominee for president will take part in the popular online Q&A session starting at 6:30 pm ET.

On the Trump subreddit, which has over 180,000 subscribers, the moderators posted, “Get your questions ready, put on your MAGA hats, and bring your high-energy — it’s going to be TREMENDOUS!” The moderators also refer to Trump as “our God Emperor” and “the Nimble Navigator.”

Again, love him or hate him, Trump’s use of social media during this campaign will be studied for years in political science departments throughout America. He grasps Twitter in a way that most people involved in politics never do. It’s a stream-of-consciousness platform that doesn’t pay off when you overthink it. Trump’s almost complete lack of a brain/mouth filter is perfect for it, much to the chagrin of many in the GOP, I’m sure. By contrast, Hillary’s tweets seem as if every letter was parsed and tested on a focus group. Reince Priebus is guilty of that too. Their people seem to spend a lot of time crafting what you just know they think are really cool tweets that will resonate, and they end up coming across as stiff.

The AMA is perfect for Trump–it’s yet another interview format where he doesn’t have to leave his hotel room.

As for how this came about, it was rather easy: a moderator for the Trump subreddit simply asked him (or his people).
