An anti-Trump super PAC is behind an ad featuring women reading things Donald Trump has said about women.
Including this quote from a 1992 New York Times Magazine article, in which Trump said: “Women, you have to treat ‘em like shit.”
There are the well-known quotes from what Trump said about Rosie O’Donnell, what Trump said about Megyn Kelly after she questioned him about what he said about Rosie, and what Trump said about Carly Fiorina’s face.
And this from a segment on The Howard Stern Show: “I like kids,” Trump said. “I mean, I won’t do anything to take care of them. I’ll provide the funds and she’ll take care of the kids.”
In an ARG poll released Monday, Ohio Gov. John Kasich leads Trump 44 percent to 38 percent in Ohio — with a whopping 51-26 percent lead among women primary voters.
The ad was part of a seven-figure nationwide buy from Our Principles PAC, which was founded in January by Mitt Romney’s former deputy campaign manager, Katie Packer. Much of its funding has come from Chicago Cubs co-owner Marlene Ricketts, prompting a threat-tweet from Trump last month.
“I hear the Rickets (sic) family, who own the Chicago Cubs, are secretly spending $’s against me. They better be careful, they have a lot to hide!” Trump wrote, misspelling the family’s name.
Cubs co-owner Tom Ricketts told local media afterward that “it’s a little surreal when Donald Trump threatens your mom.”
“But you know, the fact is whether it’s my mom or my dad on his spending stuff or my sister on marriage equality or my brothers on what they do or what we do with the team, we’re pretty much an open book,” he said. “We stand up for what we believe in, we support the cause we think is important, and that’s what America should be.”
